Also, I think she has over exerted herself on this tour. She is doing 2-3 shows a week and a hell of a lot of travelling and she also does intense workouts in between, I think she needs a good rest and in a selfish way I hope there's new music to come soon but it really is best if she takes a long rest now. She's been ill for quite a while and I don't think we will be seeing such lengthy tours from her in the future

Tbh i would like 2013 to be side projects...allow her to have time with family and every so often a promo or announcement come out and circulate across the year and work on new material maybe in sessions across the year for a 2014 new era.
And then across 2014 do not go on tour right away...allow material to circulate, allow visuals/videos to have airtime/promo....do across the year a handful of big name gigs (glasto i am backing, V Fest is a potential, good morning america/summer circuit, NRJ Radio Festival/France)....she needs a bit more Eurocentric promo and to sustain the now regrown in strength US audiences/appeal and venture to do some special promo bits for Australasia/Asia and really push it forward. And 2014 can then give album 13 longevity and then 2015 world tour....new material will be out there, she can space the tour over 12 months...new fans will have been brought in due to new material on circulation as well as the strong fanbase in millions anyway But i dont think Madonna can possibly damage anything apart from the unpredictable start times...there are reasons for sure....and it has happened a handful of times but regardless she still broke and set new records with this tour despite the fact there were late starts etc. I dont think its possible to damage a legacy when you are Madonna but maybe it means they need more meetings about where to venture/head next and how they can space it all out

I didn't say Madonna would damage her legacy I said she may well damage her touring legacy, my friend won't go to see her again because of the insane late starts.
New music, with her fully involved in the writing process is a must IMO, not a rush job with some mediocre songs. She needs to produce incredible music again with amazing songs, regardless of them charting. A great song is a great song and lets face it if the radio won't play her she dosen't stand a chance in the charts anymore anyway. She should put her energy in to her music like she does her tours. TH14 I hear ya! she deffo has overdone it and if she isn't well she needs a long rest. |

^^ No i do understand what you mean which is why i said it will perhaps affect it in a minute scale...i mean a few people is literally just a few affected....seats will always be filled for a Madonna concert
![]() And Yeah Madonna 110% behind the creative, lyrical content of her songs is where it is always at...i mean on HC and MDNA it always seemed to be a gang of writers really following a Madonna concept rather than everything coming from her soul. I remember loads of interviews early on across the 80s and 90s even into the early 00s where she made sonvs not knowing if they would be "hits" or not and the results were they were resounding successes....whereas on HC and MDNA it is obvious her or rather her label have pushed for radio friendly songs and unfortunately with MDNA they werent worldwide radio/single commercial successes...bar the US with Luvin of course. So really if a song Madonna does is great, has people talking that will garner interest and airplay rather than trying to be commercial in sound....i mean had Beautiful Killer been a single release people would have spoken about it...perhaps not large scale but certainly more praise than all the singles from MDNA at least. |

I find it interesting that people hold Madonna to much higher standards than other artists. Other artists show up late, cut songs etc, and no one says anything and their fans say they can't be criticized and still support them. But somehow no matter how hard Madonna tries, people never give her the benefit of the doubt but criticize relentlessly. But I guess that makes her be better in the end. I just wish other fans held their favourite artists to the same standards that Madonna is held to. It doesn't seem fair. |

I'm not sure I agree Josh, I think the late starts will put people off massively next time. I'm sure there are huge Madonna fans out there that would love to go but won't if they know she's not coming on until 11pm. Nobody denies the tour is great but if I had to to during a working week and I was in work the next day then I wouldn't go. Luckily I can get the time off but most don't have this luxury. I think she will also stick to 50 date tours in the future

Having an American Life replay inspired fully by my adoration of Ke$ha's Warrior album. That woman's album is something else <3.

Gigi, she's said several times she's knackered and said a week or two ago that dancing in heels has knackered her knees. She will probably tour again when she's 56 and I think it's unrealistic to expect her to produce tours of this size again.

She's obligated under her contract with Live Nation to do several more large tours. She has always complained even when she was younger about touring because it's hard, but she also loves it. I think she loves the pain, the hard work and the reward. You don't get something in life for nothing without any pain or sacrifice. I don't see this being her last tour. |

I very much second with gigi....Madonna has ALWAYS complained because she puts mor eenergy into her tours than most out there....which is why she trains 24/7 it is inspiring...nothing due to age at all...Madonna justhas this flu bug which is spreading everywhere...she is human after all...and fortunately it is for the final few dates of the tour and era....and not at the beginning...her time, commitment and energy has been so visceral and grand...and i dont see her cutting back from massive productions...in fact i very much think her next one may be even grander scale if the focus on the album material is much longer and broader and conceptualised
![]() But i do see your point TH...but am sorry but it is nothing due to age...i mean if she wanted she could ditch the heels and put more higher energy into the choreo..she didnt...but she makes it work so damn well.....i see her doing these high budget world tours over the next 10 years personally ![]() Again which is why i feel album 13 release in 2014 and spread out promo, doing smaller scale shows in front of massive audiences/televised/radio you know? and then the following year when she is 56/57 space out dates across a full year and really generate such a raw buzz ![]() That is how i think it will work anyhow. |

Saying that the past 3 days i have blasted Bedtime Stories so much...i feel it suits my bluesy wintery mood at the moment...it has so much more power than first thought...and that album too i feel has gone up in my rankings. Saying that, also i played Hard Candy when i got in from work (i needed to burn!!!!) and damn it sounds so much better a few years on....2008 memories are in that album...definitely doesnt deserve the flack it gets...the SYnths, Funky rhythms, Retro Disco, Retro Pop across the album and towards the end a Trippy Ambience displayed....it really is a strong album.

I think for the next world tour Aus dates may be considered...because if we presume in two and a bit years time she will start a new tour around the world Madonna will have time to push into these territories for one massive bout

Sobbing over the fact that someone has FINALLY uploaded a FULL version of Keep It Together (single edition) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=993m4Xr8Gps Never heard the full single version, she reaches for some new high notes and different vocal layers, so beautiful

I hope she does Aus. I think it'll be wise to do dates over there and maybe a few less in Europe where the market has been saturated over the last couple of years but who knows, I suppose it will depend on where the most £££ is to be made

It isn't going to be her last tour, she's got to do two more but there's no stipulation about how many dates there needs to be and its up to madonna because she decided to cancel the Aus leg. I think we forget that she's getting older and I think the next tour will be shorted than MDNA and the tour after that even shorter still

It will all be down to scheduling next era i feel...no need to stop big shows altogether...because no one does them better than Madonna....but really space out the album campaign (actually have a campaign for starters) and then space out a massive world tour...get the album and era working in as many territories as possible instead of "that will do" sales/stats.

Another layer to the MDNA cake...
https://fbcdn-sphotos-f-a.akamaihd.n...26131367_n.jpg Like A Dark Virgin Queen <3 And apparently the KLEIN shoot is going to incorporate "some girls" somehow....i adore that song, the basslines, delivery and Industrial vibe...so hope that is true...somehow i think if its a film project gang bang, Im Adicted, Beautiful Killer and Love SPent may be melded together? |

I have become obsessed with 'old school' Madonna over the last few weeks. I bought all her albums up to 2000, watched about 40 interviews, read magazine scans, watched a chunk of her tours online etc.etc.
I have no idea what caused it because I've only ever been a fan of the odd song before now. |
