My M plagiarism thread has blown up out of control, sorry folks.

They're picking on her, they're picking on her fans.

They just don't understand her ART!

It's crazy how people are so desperate to put Madonna down. I I don't understand it. She should be celebrated like other artists such as Prince and David Bowie.

It's because Madonna threatens their idea of what an artist should be, she doesn't conform, doesn't play 'by the book' of what a female should do. They try to discredit her achievements by saying she has no talent, she can't sing, doesn't write any of her own songs etc.... We know she does damn well write allot of her own songs, hell we even have interviews with producers and co-writers saying what a fantastic writer she is. She doesn't just write lyrics, she also does melodies, that to me is a songwriter. They spew this crap while never having stepped in to the recording studio with her like these people have, so who do we believe. They have no evidence to back up their claims that she doesn't write her songs, it's all fuelled by hate.

They spew the same ole crap, claiming she is just a good business woman LOL, so having some of the greatest pop music of all time is apparently irrelevant *rolls eyes*. Yeah she has managed a 30 year career by being good at business and having everyone else do all of the work for her. (note sarcasm). Funny how some of these same co-producers and writers have never done anything as good as they did when working with Madonna with anyone else. What does that tell you! Yeah Madonna has absolutely no input whatsoever. ROLLS EYES !

If you notice the music is barely mentioned in arguments and that is what has given her a 30 year career, not her being controversial. Her controversies all have a point, any true fan that understands her knows that. Haters use it as an excuse to why she has had a long career, Purleaaseeeee!

Ray of light / Confessions on a dance floor anyone, no controversy, sold millions, the music spoke for itself. Enough said!

I'm not really bothered by what people think of Madonna or her fans to be honest. Madonna is the biggest selling artist of all time. When she dies those sales will double. Madonna is regarded as the last of the great icons. That's some kudos. Her legacy is set in stone. She has nothing to prove to anyone anymore.

Small minded opinions won't change this so don't let it effect you. I mean the fact she is now being given grief because she has a stylist shows how desperate that discussion has become!

What i love though in itnerviews is where producers/writers really say what M is like in the studio recording, her inspirations of how she thinks etc. And i love that its the same with show producers, and the live eprformances she does...the way they speak of her....she is so damn talented thats why 31 years on she is still in massive demand...people cant take that away from her MADONNA is all we need

I think it's also because Madonna never really goes away or takes a super long break between records, tours or other projects. Some people kind of take her for granted. A lot of the more acclaimed artists have periods when they don't release something or don't tour, so when they come back people have missed them.

that is kind of the attitude i take with madonna. i know its rather arrogant to dwell on the sales aspect of her success, but i do rather like the fact that she is the biggest selling female singer of all time. i believe she will only be overtaken in my lifetime by someone selling millions of digital singles, which isn't as impressive as madonna`s achievements in my opinion and i think her commercial success clearly bugs people.

it doesn't particularly affect me as such and being a longtime madonna fan, it becomes part of the territory. i do read the threads though and i find it fascinating that people would study her so thoroughly only to assert a negative view. the hypocrisy of someone dismissing a fan view`s for being "biased", whilst insisting their views cannot be changed didn't go unnoticed either.

the stylist discussion was perhaps a surprise new low in terms of the long winded banal attempts to discredit her and you really can't reason with people once its evident that winning in the discussion stakes is far more important to them than any point they're trying to make.:sleep:

No seriously, there's a link in my original post which accuses her of stealing everything she's done over her career, songs, looks, ideas etc. and i just wanted people's opinions but i never expected people to be so c*nty about it and attack her fans and stuff.

i dont think Madonna is a culture thief, she is just inspired by everything around her and likes to incorporate it into her work.

I don't remember her claiming to be the best at anything she just said 'I want to be the best I can be' and it's not the same as saying 'I want to be the best' is it? She never claimed to be the most original either, everyone copies everyone at some point in their life but they have their own unique way of make the copying seem like their own, if you follow my drift and Madonna is a past mistress at this.

I think Madonna is very clever and creative and i don't understand how people miss that, they say she can't sing, why? because she doesn't have a massive wo oh ohing voice like Mariah or Whitney? Everyone doesn't like those types of voices, I don't like those tyoes of voices I think they sound atrocious :yawn:and I'd much rather listen to Madonna's cute trilling or her soft, velvetty ballad singing.

And if people say 'uh she pays people to do things for her' :yawn::yawn:yes she does but surely there are times when she thinks for herself and all, what about her kids and young toyboy? surely they inspire her sometimes? She goes out to awards shows and benefits she surely sees and hears things which inspire her or talks to people who give her good ideas.

What about in the early days when she had no money to pay people to help her? She found her own look and inspirations then, surely that hasn't left her just because she's rich and successful?

Slight moan, but another thread that does my head in is when members make threads saying how "music has gone downhill these days". Drives me night. Because personally, even in the 60's, 70's, 80's, there was awful music as well.

I like the demo, but I have to be honest and say I like the version on the album much better. I know some people like the very stripped down songs, but I tend to like a more produced and polished sound, it's more interesting to me.

Yeah...i just love the way a production can evolve in time....from the original demo to the final product...the final product is always most commonly the superior version...its just so interesting as to where it stemmed from

And LM...i do believe that every decade has its fair share of greatness and poor/cheesy stuff....it just depends on perspective i guess...like for me 2009 - 2011 i feel were a bit hit and miss in so many ways...moreso for a while....last year had a lot of variation for me and this year i have some firm favourites but the chart music...bar some amazing exceptions is still very mixed...its changing for the better though so heres to the latter half of 2013 <3 Blondie, gaga,grace jones, Janelle, Britney, Cher, Kylie, gldfrapp....im all interested in hearing what they do...and so hyped about a lot of them ))

You're correct in saying that all decades have bad music, I love the 80s as it had among others Madonna and PSB but it also had the Chicken Song, the Birdie song and Mickey!

For some reason, Has to Be doesn't blow my mind. It's okay, but I don't really miss it on the album. The outtake I absolutely love is Revenge. I guess I like something with a little bit more of a beat to it.
