oh ffs, that thread is back again. the "superfans" are blamed for asserting her as a musical genius now. nobody has said that at all and of course bray`s comments are milked yet again to add substance to another set of dismissive claims.

it actually doesn't really matter and its pointless replying in my opinion. so what if she needs help musically to achieve whatever direction she wants to pursue? her fans do like to highlight her musical input based on more complementary observations from collaborators other than bray or lloyd webber, but generally her fans are not as deluded as some people seem to suggest in that thread.

Yes, Madonna fans have never said she's a genius. All we said that she is a talented singer and songwriter and not a puppet.
Most artists work with other songwriters and producers, but somehow this is used against Madonna, but not the others. Lots of other singers have the money to hire big name producers but they don't have the continued success that Madonna does. So obviously she must be contributing something.
I actually think Madonna is amazingly humble. I never hear her say one of her albums is a work of genius and a masterpiece. Other artists say that all the time and no one has an issue with that, even though they didn't play every instrument and write every song themselves.

My plagiarism thread, AAAAGGHH!!

I find it really SAD to hear Madonna called a karaoke singer who got lucky.

F*ckers!

And I agree with Gigi4 about DD I love them but they had been in the musical wilderness for such a long time and then along comes the lovely Mark Ronson whi helps them to find their mojo again thus making their recent album great!

Haha yeah right

People seem to forget Madonna worked her arse off. She didn't go on a reality show and win, she wasn't a paris hilton/kim kardashian celeb who became famous for nothing. This is a woman who put herself out there.

What i love about Madonna is she has said so many times she isn't the best singer and isn't the best dancer, but she loves what she does and has appreciated the success she has. She doesn't taken herself seriously.

I'm sure half the Madonna bashers on this site have more than one account anyway. Its just something I have began to notice because the posting styles, posting layout and the opinions are word for word the same each time. If I can be assed later I might report them. I'm sure that's against the site rules. I could list three users now who I KNOW are the same person.

I just look at it like this. If they hate Madonna that much and put that much effort into discrediting her then that means they fear her presence. They know she is the ultimate icon and its killing them.

I have had my suspicions as of today there have been multiple accounts. Especially what a member said to me on the movie forum who had only done 6 posts and then asked DS to delete their account. Considering what they had said, they were right, wrong and ignorant in my tastes and would only have know it by being aware of my posts and threads.

Haha, I agree with the last 2 posts!

I've noticed that alot of the posts have a similar layout too, I can surely bet that Fearoffours has at least one other DS user account.

What a waste of time and energy just to discredit an artist they seemingly don't like.

And yes, you're spot on LM she never claimed to be the best, she only claimed that she wanted to 'be the best I can be'!

i am not going to name names, but there are posting similarities in that thread and many points are being readdressed. a certain prince fan immediately springs to mind and the recurring negative view on madonna fans does seem familiar.

i really don't care less for subjective opinions, but to suggest that the fans are out of touch as well as extremely touchy and petty is just generalising at its worst. the truth is obviously too much to bear when her fans quote truthful sales stats, because it clearly doesn't fit in with their assertion that she will be remembered for all the wrong reasons.

I find it extremely sad that Madonna haters bash the fans calling us touchy and petty and say that we are out of touch with pop culture.

i am not sure confronting the potential forum members with multiple profiles in that thread is the best way to go, lol. although, a recent reply from someone that sometimes seems to "sock puppet" for an equally drool user, does set alarm bells ringing. however, making accusations like that in the main thread does make her fans come across like the things they're accused of unfortunately.

the thread would die off naturally with little confrontation from the fans, its not as if the people instigating the conflict are likely to change their views anyway. the latest claims about nile rogers being dropped from "artpop" did make me laugh though. if she really did compromise herself musically, just because of what the media and madonna fans might say, then all i can say is boo hoo. if that is true then she should grow a pair and stop behaving like the professional victim.

that is what i love about madonna. people for decades have dismissed her work and accused her of plagiarising pretty much everything. when the label commissioned the current producers of the time for "hard candy", did she worry about being compared unfavourably to those producers previous collaborators like britney? no, she made the best of the situation, got on with the record and to hell with all the inevitable claims of her chasing trends. madonna rarely gets much respect for mixing things up, but she doesn't let criticism hold her back either.

it depends on whether you want new or will settle for used. ebay or cex is pretty good for the occasional used bargain.

the girlie show on ebay:

or on cex:

also sticky and sweet tour is brand new on ebay at a decent price:

Madonna got lucky because she wanted fame so much and worked effing hard to get there. She has never pretended she has the best singing voice in the world, but it is distinctive. Madonna is a package, and if people are too thick and ignorant to realise that then they must be four years old or just ********s.

Hey everyone! It's been a while since I visited this thread. I'm just wondering something; the MDNA Tour is released in under six weeks now, yet it's not listed ANYWHERE. Have we got any idea when Amazon might have it available for preorder? Also, is there a live CD included with the MDNA Tour? I read somewhere that there wouldn't be which would be incredibly disappointing.

In the current issue of the gay magazine Attitude, there's an interview with Stephen Bray. He only has positive things to say about Madonna, He said she was his favourite colloborator and they finished each others sentences musically and she was one of the most ambitious talented people he ever worked with. There's nothing about him saying he did everything and Madonna did nothing as some people have been implying.

I'll have a look out for that.

It just goes to show the lengths some people will go to to discredit Madonna when they have to resort to lies.

Yes, it's great. There's a cute picture of them from the Breakfast Club (I think that was the name of her first band) when she had dark hair. Stephen is now working on a musical version of the Color Purple. He looks great! He hasn't aged much since the 80's! He says he'd work with Madonna again in a minute. Not sure how she feels about working with him.

I must find it. It is on Youtube but William Orbit said similar last year. He said Madonna knew everything he was thinking before he said it and that she was the most hands on person he has ever worked with.

It should be easy to find.

If I could be bothered I would have posted all this in that thread but this discussion bores me to be honest as its always the same guy trying to discredit her over and over again.

I saw it in the magazine on the newsstand. They don't have most of the articles on the free part of their website because they want you to subscribe to the print or the digital version. Check most newsstands or bookstores. It's pretty widely distributed.
