so madonna topped the forbes list as the top earning celebrity. of course, they just couldn't resist their usual not so subtle digs and the article reads like an acknowledgement through gritted teeth, with them not being able to ignore the facts.

they also couldn't resist heaping their usual gushing praise on gaga in the process and they even drag katy perry into the mix in yet another blatant attempt to big up mother monster. sabrina o'connor is no doubt furiously typing up an equally objective article already and for once, i don't actually blame her.

I can only imagine that Madonna seriously pissed off one of Forbes editors at some point. Its rather pathetic how they behave towards her.

I also don't get why they keep mentioning Gaga when they do talk of Madonna. Katy Perry or even Rihanna would be a far more valid comparison. Katy in particular is mirroring Madonna's early career to a T.

Was thinking about Secret Project today. Well it was a dream oddly and she ends up announced a new album ''Revolution'' for release in November!!

Wishful thinking? lol

I can only imagine that Madonna seriously pissed off one of Forbes editors at some point. Its rather pathetic how they behave towards her.
Forbes did a story on her in 1990 called ''The Smartest Business Woman In America?'' - but she wouldn't talk to them, as she never talks about her accounts and finances, which they apparently wanted to see. Then, they started sniffing around her business associates, and she instructed them not to talk.

SO the whole thing got a bit nasty, and Forbes ended up titling the story ''One Part Talent, Three Parts Ego'' - You can read the whole thing here.

Madonna and Forbes haven't been on the best of terms since, which is why I rarely believe anything they have to say about her there - especially if she doesn't actually give them anything to work with, so they're just going off what's visible, like the tour or a perfume line. Earlier this year, after some reports that Madonna became a billionaire (which didn't come from Madonna herself), Forbes published an article about it, which took on a distinctly condescending tone - You can read that here.

ALSO, Roger Friedman has been posting a series of negative articles about Madonna since the beginning of last year on the Forbes website, and he has written negatively about Madonna for some time now - if you believe that thing about Gaga and Perez sabotaging Xtina's career, he's supposedly the one who Mariah Carey's team paid to write negatively about Madonna's tour - Here's his page at Forbes.

Madonna hasn't been good with Forbes for many years.

I've always felt that Katy Perry actually has more in common with Madonna than Gaga. Katy's music is more diverse with both ballads and uptempo and her personality is more down to earth like Madonna's than Gaga. Also I think Katy writes some heartfelt personal lyrics about her and her relationships like Madonna whereas sometimes I have no idea what Gaga is singing about. I first became aware of Katy when Madonna mentioned her in an interview. Maybe she sensed they had something in common.

I think Hit Em Up Style is close with his idea of November album release....only not the November bit..anyone seen this being released in Tokyo last night??

https://fbcdn-sphotos-d-a.akamaihd.n...66758960_n.jpg

I think it is heading to REVOLUTION soon...Secret Project late Sept i reckon and then we will have teses to whatever is going down...apparently the website is owned by a Japanese company and isnt "etablished" as its own site as of yet.

But i reckon Madonna is working on a new strategy with her music Maybe a live eprformance reveal for the new album/era....hmmm!?!?

But ido have a feeling Madonna is letting the "girls have their fun" the next few months Britney, gaga, Katy, Kylie, Cher, and 2014 will be BAM new Madonna...one hopes anyway....something introspective and cool and reinvented...and plus i have missed Billboards with Madonna o nthem for events like these! Yeah

And tbh i dont see many parallels with Katy and Madonna...or gaga and Madonna really...but both owe everything to her...in fact every artist in Pop music does....Katy has a variation BUT she keeps too much in a "niche" you know? Madonna evolved from one album to the next in a natural way and mixed up her team and pushed herself forward in style and image and purpose and got through that and evolved....gaga however i guess kinda has a different shwocase of a simialr thing...there is a natural evolve with gagas albums....just gaga isnt "down to earth" perhaps as M is...but she has her ear to the ground and mixes it up album to album...so there are similarities and there are differences with both same with Rihanna and ...well yeah all of them

but Madonna is Madonna...and she does it all

Anyway my two cents there guys make of this image what you will...but i do have a feeling February willl mark something fresh and exciting and new

It looks fake. Plus, that website doesn't exist.

EDIT: Oh, it does. But it doesn't have anything on it.

did anyone hear Alan Carr on R2 saying how much he adored Elvis and Madonna. He said that he would love to interview her but doubt that she would appear as he has to make jokes about everyone including her.

Madonna gets British humour though so she probably would be up for it.

The problem I find with Madonna in many interviews is that she sometimes comes across quite nervous which always surprises me. She seemed very shy and stuck for answers when on Graham Norton but totally at ease and more relaxed when on Ellen.

I agree. I think Madonna has the ability to laugh at herself and wouldn't get too upset if someone makes a joke about her. She makes fun of herself all the time. She can be very shy in interviews which I actually find quite endearing and human because I'm that way too. That doesn't surprise me because that's how most people are. It seems almost weird if someone is always comfortable being interviewed on tv because it's kind of a naturally uncomfortable situation. I think it all depends on if she likes the interviewer and gets along with them. There are just naturally some people you don't like or don't connect with. I like how she is real about how she reacts to people. She doesn't come off as a fake celebrity who likes everyone.

That's something Christopher said about her being on television in his book, and I believe him - she's always far wittier in print interviews.

I like her with longer hair. It reminds me of the style she had during the ROL era which was one of her best. Don't know if she is going back to dark. She probably just taking a rest from all that hair bleaching because she is on vacation. Personally I prefer her with blonde hair, although a lot of fans like the dark hair. For me Madonna=blonde hair. For me, she is at her most iconic with the blonde hair.

Yesterday evening i had American Life blaring....and i adored her style then...cannot believe over a decade gone by....and after iplayed it i watched Eternal Sunshine of the Spotles Mind with Jim Carrey and Kate Winslet...and that was all around the same time epriod...the idea of beauty in life and the idea of travelling and moving with your past...i adore that feel and aspect i found with yesterday a sense of power and timelessness.

Adored the AL era...despite the radio blacklisting in the States...and of coruse the minimalist videos after the AL controversy...i feel we are there again now with the sad news of Syria...an the confusion in the world.

But yeah...while i agree gigi Madonnas iconic looks are signature blond styles....i love that earthed dark hair too in Like a Prayer era it was so efining and iconic (loved the blonde front too wish she kep it past Pepsi) and of course the geisha look later ROL era and the early AL era with the slick look and punky feel to it...would adore it for a change up again...in terms of reinvention or just go completely bombast and out there maybe? i dunno But i would welcome it for a shake up.

I love the honey-blonde thing she did from '96 to '99. That looked lovely, and she did it in a way that it framed her face really well. That was Madonna at her most beautiful, in my opinion. That, and '88 to '91.

She always says she goes back to the darker hair when she's getting more introspective and moody - hopefully this might mean another album of slightly more substance than MDNA? A queen can hope?

Anyway, when I saw these photos the first thing that came to mind was that it's done in the same style as this;

Perfection.

my favourite look from Madonna is a tie between 1989 - 1993 ADORED her look there it was so old skool and Hollywood but also so raw....adored her all the way through LAP - Erotica era.....and the look of her 2003 - 2006...she had a very free kinda look in live performance in imagery across albums/photography etc....a very very cool look and defining and fresh .

And i have to say that i did like her look on the MDNA tour too...she looked happier and more herself after the years beforehand (2007 - 2011 she didnt look "happy" if that makes sense)

But yeah 1989 - 1993 and 2003 - 2006 are my favorite Madonna/looks and styles and feel but she is amazing and defining <3

Yes, I liked the honey blonde look as well. I think during the ROL era she had a slightly darker base like between a light brown and a light red, but with blonde highlights over it. I think it would be interesting and cool if she had more variation and contrast. in her hair colour like that again instead of all over blonde. But I wouldn't want her to go too dark.
Right now, I'm obsessed with Kate Nash's hair. She has very dark hair with blonde highlights in front and these kind of 50's pompadour and waves. I wish I had the nerve to do that myself but I might get in trouble at work! So I think it would be cool in a punky way if Madonna had more variation in her color like that, but don't take away all the blonde!

All this being said, her hair was flawless at the W.E. premieres;

Slayage.
Deal, bitches.
