Oh my days Hit Em Up Style...dont despair!

Madonna said in the interview her creativity was at the bottom of the barrel right now because of the time and dedication she did for the W.E film, and then focus on the Superbowl....but when it came to the world tour you can see ALL of her vision excell at its very best...i mean all she dreamt to have happen on the Superbowl show that they could not budget for she did on the tour

Its not that she isnt inspired...a lot of demons were exorcised on MDNA...its just Interscope wanted her to have radio friendly "hits" which ironically all 4 of them were not...in fact two of them had limited release...so personally i do think that Madonna should focus on music and art foremost.

Need not worry though, Warner twisted her arm for Hard Candy, and she was going through personal issues anyway so it seemed the easy way out to xit them on, and with MDNA they wanted a solid debut for her...and instead they got her lowest selling album to date.

So THAT is where it lies...if she had more time on MDNA guaranteed we would have had a bit of a different arrangement...as it was she went on tour two months after album release...the shortest gap EVER! So again that compromised it a lot too.

So again its timing for the next album campaign an to actually have an album campaign.

MDNA proved she can sell name alone with fanbase and media mentions without needing to be out there all the time...but at the same point it also show how important she utilises these key elements still for the future. The fact that all she has to do is step out onto a red carpet and have thousands of cameras pointing at her...its how to utilise it for the next era...and i think they definitely will.

Heck with so much that went on across the MDNA tour you can clearly tell how much more inspired she is to get into album 13 too...i ust cannot wait to hear and see where she heads next

First time ever yesterday I heard "Broken"... what a quality tune, just how I want Madonna to be and what she excels at.. why did it get left out?. It seems the songs most catering to my wants, are the unreleased ones!

Oh for her to make an Unreleased Songs album that would be 3 Discs worth of quality songs too!

I do really wish Celebration was presented like a massive box set tbh...4 discs full of anthem after anthem, hit after hit and gem after gem you know

Comics are one of my favourite mediums of entertainment, so comparing them with one of my favourite musicians is always good. Going dangerously off topic here, I only just saw TDKR for the first time yesterday, Anne Hathaway was PERFECTION! Two bad-ass women side by side, so hot! Madonna looks lovely there, you can see in her eyes she's still a bit tired but on the road to refreshing herself again

Same...as you all know im a massive Batman fanatic....but DC comics with me all the way...although i am partial to Marvel

Ah wow, my film of the year Ironically Madonna was offered the role of Catwoman and Tim Burton really wanted her for the role in Batman Returns in 1992 but due to scheduling never happened....i adored Pfieffer in the role though...she was like what Heath was with the Joker ....Anne i feel tapped into Pfieffers dramatic/schitso portrayal and also adapted Julie Newmar (1960s show) sassiness and Adrienne Barbou (the animated series) with the attitude...and of course with Annes own portrayal it was done expertly

I just was like...ohmyfreakingooooood!!!! Catwoman and Madonna side by side...thats like a dream of mine...

I do think Madonna and the comic book realms will be a direction to head next...like hyper reality...elements she has tapped into before with dreamscapes in the Like A Prayer album, dual identities/reflection in Erotica, Spiritual/Identities in ROL/Music and Pop Art across True Blue, American Life and Celebration....i do feel its an area to tap into....not to mention the merging of Madonna and Wonder Woman in the SUPERSTAR cover art I just think it would be cool...utilise colour, vision and a cool new direction would really get people talking.

Also another thing, i love that Anne is sporting a pixie cut...and Madonna is like the one who made them a trend....only peroxide

Cool! How can you not love her? She goes from something as physically demanding as her tour to going skiing! Most people after a tour like that would just lie in bed for a month. But this woman is completely unstoppable!

Definitely....i think that is why many cannot see her as a "human" she never lets herself showcase that side...she is a definite machine And also her standing next to Anne there...she looks effing stunning and you would think there were barely a few years between em....

Also from DREW DOLLAZ FB page

"Most Viewed Super Bowl Performance In History Good Luck This Year Beyonce. 2012 We Broke Records"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W795W63n7mA

And reading that i thought oh my god its been almost a year since the Superbowl and almost a year since Madonna performed the most watched TV event in AMerican history I remember staying up late (unintentionally) watching it all live and just being

Which is also why i think next era Madonna should/can do selective but massive live performances as promo for the next era...make them each an event...thats what i found interesting this era...the Superbowl, the interviews...they kinda have replaced her "video event" of the 80s and 90s and early 00s into "live event" that makes us all just scream in anticipation

Hi all! Finally signed up to DS after a few weeks of lurking

I'm a bit of a Madonna newbie in that I only started listening to her music when MDNA launched last year but since then I've fallen completely in love with her Pretty much downloaded all of her albums in the week after I bought MDNA (Except for Hard Candy which for some reason I only downloaded two weeks ago but now don't understand why it took so long!) and now my music collection would feel completely empty without her!

My favorite albums of hers are definitely Like A Prayer (But I overplayed it and I'm bored of it now, boo), Confessions and MDNA. I know that MDNA isn't exactly the biggest fan pleaser but I adore every single song on it bar B-Day Song which is perhaps her worst song ever . I love most of her dance music but also the delicacy of her voice on the ballads she does. People really do underrate her voice and whilst it has very little power it just has so much emotion which is something I find preferable to big shouty numbers.

Wasn't lucky enough to go to the MDNA tour which I'm really kicking myself for... but I read on here the other day that she is contracted to do two more tours by 2016 so can't wait for that! Guessing the next one will be in 2014 so I'm really hoping that we get another album this year, hopefully for a September/October release.

And welcome Just Vogue! You're bored of Like a Prayer though? It's fantastic so much love for it and yeah I would love to see her on tour too, hopefully I'll get her around 2014 too

I have a confession to make ...

I love Give Me All Your Luvin'.

This is the track I derided all over DS forums a year ago, but in fact I was wrong.

Okay. Done. Whew.

I heard the song in a shop over the holidays and I thought "Oh, I know this from somewhere. I like it" but the penny didn't drop even though it wormed itself into my brain on the way home. Especially that retro "Human League" synth. So yeah, I love it now. Oh dear.

Why I think I was disappointed and what I didn't 'get' was that Madonna has always trod where others have followed. But here was a song that she could have recorded in 1986/87 and the polar opposite of where I think/thought she should be. I still prescribe to that and as I type it out I think: Yeah, I know I'm right. I shouldn't like this song.

But I do. And I'm not even drunk.

So there it is.

Welcome but bored of Like A Prayer from overplaying??? Its my favourite album of all time, hopefully you will come back to it and have a new lease of life for it (always happens when you overplay something and come back to it!)...can never get tired of it But am so glad you have gotten into her music

And you know what MDNA has grown on me much more on replaying recently And the thing with B Day song that i kinda am underwhelmed with was i was anticipating an Alternative Pop sound like MIA does but instead it was an ode to 1960s Pop meets Hanky Panky lol decent and catchy but definitely would say its her most forgettable song to date tbh.

But a definite welcome...and yes Madonna has my favourite tones of voices, i love her voice so much and the different tones she plays with...cannot wait for her to toy with her voice some more

You know, Luvin is an unusual song....its chanty, odes to the past and drags it into the present but there is something off key about it...and i think its because i wanted more heavier punching vocals from Madonna rather than the airy vocals she has done on the final version...also it sounds like its heading somewhere that we never quite go...like a beat/vocal breakdown perhaps but instead we get the Minaj and MIA snippets and then the concluding part....nevertheless that shows again that Madonna music is never in one time zone only...but you can come back to it and go WOAH!!

Got an iPhone for Christmas and have had the job of transferring my music library over from my iPod, pain in the ass that the version of Erotica I originally bought of itunes got deleted so had to re-buy it all over

I still haven't finished re-downloading everything, need to get the albums post-Ray of Light oh and Vogue, Causing a Commotion and Who's That Girl!

What?! Did your itunes not back up your purchases? On the new one, when you sign into iTunes all your purchases automatically are put into your library? How odd! iTunes is a nightmare with new phones/laptops. Hope all works out ok! There are ways to avoid rebuying, the apple/itunes help pages are moderately useful too!

Using the Benassi Celebration remix to help me through my revision (bleurgh!). Up tempo's are my favourite way to work, so much motivation and gets the adrenaline going!

Ah thanks MCA, it's okay I've been able to download pretty much everything back for free bar Erotica and Like a Virgin but yeah it is strange and I've been unable to download on the iPhone itself due to security issues so the only way I can do it is to hook up my iPhone to the laptop and buy off PC iTunes

The boxscore figures for South America are in and they are fantastic. She grossed $14,000,000 on just her Columbia show alone. South America is a very lucrative market and it should ensure that the show tops $300 million. I've read that LN and Guy want her to continue the tour in 2013 and sav new music for 2014. The 2013 plan hasn't been decided yet so either it'll be prolong the tour or new music
BadKid95
03-01-2013
Hmm seems for us it is a win-win situation, that's if the tour comes back here in which case I would make sure I was going
Josh Pinder
03-01-2013
Oooh, we will see...i knida love that MDNA Tour rounded off last year but i guess they will ensure she is where the money is for LN sakes...but at the same time if it is prolonged i may not be able to go if its early 2013 :/....also i kinda really hope she channels energy into new material and when it comes to a new tour/era utilise the same dancers/crew as the MDNA era and mix it into the next one perhaps?

I dunno...i guess we will all find out soon, but i guess that seeing the stats are so high and we have this new KLEIN project that utilises all of Madonna and her MDNA crew so we will see what happens
Josh Pinder
03-01-2013
Also if it is a prolonged tour for next year i sure as heck do not want new music rushed through for 2014 if that is the case :/
