Licky dog

My dogs a bit odd in that he likes to lick the pavement, especially the cracks where slabs join.

He will lick the floor for ten minutes before even having a wee. I'm just thinking now, the cold weather is coming, and this may sound daft, but I'm worried I let him out one morning, he tries to lick the cold floor and he gets his tongue stuck. Is this possible for a dog?!? Serious question.

Yes it's possible, few years ago a dog in our village got stuck to a lamp post like that. Was very traumatic for the dog and owner. Not something I would like to see again.

They poured warm water onto his tongue but he had almost bitten through it trying to get free himself. As I said not something I want to see again.
