I agree with you. I was disappointed to see Navdeep go, and I think he only kept Steven in because he favours him as he is 'streetwise'.

Navdeep is clearly an intelligent, well presented person who will go far in life. However, I feel she was guilty of fence-sitting in order to ensure the PM carried the can, and LS saw through this.

@gilliedew - you have a point and it kind of annoys me too.
Last year Hiba got turfed out for no particular reason, she was slightly weak on that task, but generally she was a solid character and she got given the boot without much of a reason. I know Hiba is not Asian, I think she was Middle Eastern, but nonetheless. Based on the weakness in the task reasoning that Sugar used to fire Hiba, it should have been Andrew that got given the kick off yesterday. @george.millman - Yasmina is not Asian, she is middle eastern as she is part Iranian. Anyway, it's all gravy. I'm sure the eventual winner will be someone who should not have won, but what the hell. It's The Apprentice after all. |

I don't think it's a racial thing, I think it's a prejudice Sugar has against academic types and in favour of less qualified "streetwise" candidates. Hibah is a good example; while Adam relentlessly punted the "I'm just like you, Lord Sugar" line, Hibah made the mistake of putting forward her academic prowess. There's been plenty of such examples, many of whom are not from ethnic minorities.

In what way was she fence-sitting? I can't think of any time on the task or in the boardroom where she wasn't absolutely clear and straightfoward about what she thought.
http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/tv/s108/...hair-task.html By fence sitting, I mean that she positioned herself to be in a position to take credit if they won, and yet have a clear distance between her and the PM if they lost. |

"Lord Sugar asked Andrew what he thought of Navdeep's involvement in the task, with the 16-year-old replying: "To be honest it did feel like Nav was playing out a strategy, she wasn't really getting the team to win. She thought it was a clever move by disagreeing with the concept to start with."

Fence-sitting is refusing to take a position. Navdeep made her positions clear, so she wasn't doing that. |
