rob beckett
I've seen some of his stand up on TV and he's been on a few of the usual panel shows. From what I remember his stand up was pretty good, but he's obviously not up to the task of generating five minutes of material every day on a limited subject.
Can't be easy though, they showed a 'making of' type VT on the ITV2 show and he basically get's dragged out of bed at 3am, given an hour to watch the show and another hour to write the material for his stand up bit. I'm sure most comedians would struggle with that.
I know Russel Kane wasn't exactly loved by all, but have to admit he did a decent job of coming up with the quality of material he did given the circumstances.

That's my opinion of it too, basically. It's not easy for a standup to write 5 minutes of new material as is, let alone every day on cue. He's alright, had some hits and some misses. It shows what a good job Russell Kane did of it, I think.
