For me - the best American ever on the show was the truly fabulous, generous, warm-hearted and side-splittingly funny David Gest. Am trying to get tickets to see his Legends of Soul in Liverpool in the New Year. For some reason - David Gest LOVES Liverpool - and we love him!

Thank you yellowlabbie, I know that we don't always agree on things but most of us seem to like both of these girls and would be quite happy if either of them win and I can see where the London panel are coming from, nothing like backing your own to win but they all like Ashley as well and have nothing against her.

No need for somebody to be bitter if somebody wants to back their own, whatever the competition might be, in my opinion!

It's not the only reason that they gave. Other nights the panel has said Ashley, I'm sure they've had her friend on the show. There just happened to be three Londoners on the panel tonight.

I know DS wont agree, but from what I'm gathering from twitter and facebook etc, most people see them as the same (nice, sweet girls) and maybe it's the same for the panel and only saying Charlie because she's British as a way to differenainte them.

Its purely an honorary title anyway - its not as if there is a record deal or modelling contract for the winner. Its just a bit of fun!

Yes it does make sense because thats exactly how I feel too. I also think that both Charlie and Ashley are both sweet girls and down to earth, so very much the same and the only difference between them is the fact that Charlie is British and is a great actress in Eastenders too, so surely that is a bonus and gives her the edge, not just for many of us but for the panel as well, even more so because they are Londoners too!

Yup, and Ashley comes from arguably one of the worlds biggest platinum selling girl bands so does that also give her an edge? She's also been more consistent than Charlie, Eastenders or not. American or not. Stop speaking on behalf of 'many of us' just because you're a hard core Charlie fan. I like Charlie aswell and wouldn't mind her winning but you're trying to delude yourself that everyone is rooting for when they aren't.
