The Jungle Awards - Brian Conley received one!
I noticed Brian's cardboard cut-out was sporting an award medal, but no mention of what it was for, and again no mention of Brian at all in tonight's show when reminiscing and doing impersonations!
![]() Wonder what he got it for... |

I noticed too.
Something dodgy went on, I'm tellin' ya. Why on earth wouldn't they give him an honourable mention? It's as though he's been whitewashed from IAC history like some crazy censor editing out things like smoking and 'bad' words from old films. We'll probably never get to know. |

I think I read in paper (so may not be true) about Brian and something like he was on some sort of medication for depression but had stopped taking them. Producers didn't want him to stop taking them but he did. Something like that??
So maybe it was more they took him out of jungle rather than him leaving. |

It says, in the Daily Mail I think, that his award was for Smelliest Campmate, and Nadine's was for Most Opinionated Campmate.

Also notice how Brian Conley has been airbrushed out of any flashbacks on both shows, not even a mention.
The producers are probably sick of big names like Freddie Starr and Conley coming on the show, getting some publicity for a couple of days, then taking the money and running home ASAP. |

Are Brian Conley and Freddie Starr still classed as big names?

And why would they put his life-sized cutout in that line-up if they are airbrushing him out?

My theory is that the producers thought it wrong to show footage of him as he was ill throughout the series and it would be wrong to show an ill man even though it was not evident to anybody watching at the time.
My alarm bells went when he wanted to smooth things over between David and Rosemary when there was no tension. He was suffering from heighten anxiety at that point. Seemed out of character to me. |

So maybe it was more they took him out of jungle rather than him leaving. While he was the cheeky chappy daddy that everyone liked he was fine, but the moment he was challenged he just lost it. Sad that he's so fragile. |

The producers are probably sick of big names like Freddie Starr and Conley coming on the show, getting some publicity for a couple of days, then taking the money and running home ASAP. So if you are hired for the job there is an obligation on your part to come into work if you've come to an arrangement to receive a massive payment and especially if you've been paid money upfront, which I don't know if they are in this case. So if there's an element of doubt about whether a celebrity is really ill I can understand why the employer, ITV in this case, might not want to do them any favours if this is the case here. I suppose ITV have a right to be annoyed with anyone who they pay a massive sum of money to but who then just turn up for a few days and think they can say "I don't fancy this, I think I'll be off now. Don't like it". |

This is what baffles me. Not just the one-off occasion like this. It's as though any further mention of him on the show is disallowed. You'd think that he'd be mentioned even in natural conversation. |

It seems that Brian flipped his lid as they say. They should be more careful who they let in there but he should have the intelligence to know he wont cope.
While he was the cheeky chappy daddy that everyone liked he was fine, but the moment he was challenged he just lost it. Sad that he's so fragile. Things like that happen in real life even if it's rare to see them occur on telly. |

If you go back and watch that part of the show, it zooms out on all the cardboard cut outs, you'll see that everyone but Colin and Linda won an award - hence why Charlie "kissed" them and said they were still brilliant camp mates.
We didn't get to see the majority of awards being "won", not just Brian's. If you actually watched the show instead of dreaming up nonsense theories, you'd know this. Some people really do like to look for things that aren't there. |

Didnt Eric say Brian went to the shed and never came back, so something might have happened in there.
