Will Ashley not being British cost her the win?

Unfortunately I've read online and seen on the IAC Now show, it seems that some people are supporting Charlie over Ashley because Ashley is not British. Despite the big lead on the current "final two" poll here, do you think that it could actually cost her the win?

I hope not, it's fine not to vote for Ashley if you don't like her but not voting for her because she's not British is not right IMO. Her nationality shouldn't even come into play.

Reading more into it, I hope not! I really want Ashley to win it and I'm British myself. I couldn't gove a toss about their nationallity, Ashley has a great personallity and provided entertainment which is why she gets my votes.

Sadly I do.

I agree fair enough if you prefer Charlie's personality etc. but not because you prefer her passport.

If Ashley was British she'd walk it but I think she may lose out. And that would be sad.

Pathetic, isn`t it?

It really is, it's a shame she might lose votes because of that reason

Fingers crossed that's not the case though.

That's what I've been worried about as well. Only thing though, is that she's never been in the people that "might be leaving", the way everyone else had been.

I agree with the OP. Her nationality shouldn't be used in determining whether she wins. She has no control over what her nationality is, in the same way that someone cannot control their upbringing (Hugo).

I agree, if Ashley doesn't win, it's her nationality that cost her. Hope she does.

I hope not too. Sad if that turns out to be the reason. It should be who you prefer not their nationality. I will not be voting but she deserves to win as much as any of them.

I honestly couldn't care less where she was born, she deserves to win far more than Charlie and has been a joy to watch all the way through.

Jungle Queen Ashley FTW!

So how come she's made it to the final 2, when 9 other British "celebs" have been voted out before her, if it's all about nationality???

As far as the betting odds go, Ashley is just about the favourite to win at the moment, but it's very close between them.

Because it was just to get them through before now people are admitting they are voting for Charlie just because she is British.

Although Ashley has been shown to be a much nicer person and far more entertaining I believe Charlie WILL win because she's British.

It also helps that she's in a soap, has a cute child and has been supported by the far-from-neutral panel on ITV2.

So why didn't more people vote for David last night, he's British, or Eric the night before, he's British, etc etc.

Or is it just the case of a very small but vocal minority on the internet being assumed to represent the views of the whole British nation?

I do think (hope) is it a small minority but I do think it's wrong that she should get even one vote based on nationality rather than personality.

I like them both I want Ash to win but would be really happy with a Charlie win to
