Did anyone notice how Joe Squash ...
Fried Kickin

Lost his bottle when Eric was on ITV2
Didn't hear a peep out of him but only a couple of days before he was running his mouth off about how horrible Eric was.

I did not notice because I tune out when the cameras go to him, but I believe you.

He has done that before; all mouth and no trousers as the saying goes. I wish they would dump him from the show, he ruins it.

That unfunny blonde comedian makes it additionally unwatcheable.

I agree, he is not even pleasant to look at which can be a compensation; he was probably chosen to make Swash look better.

Swash is the same every year he runs his mouth and when the person comes out he tells them how great they were.

I am sure someone has since tipped Eric the wink, and he has watched the ITV2 iPlayer. The guy won't get away with it, Eric will surely grab him in a dark corner off screen and 'sort' him!

I'm sure that'll be the same excuse the little pipsqueak gives to Eric as he's confronted by him.

I can't bear Joe Swash, but at the same time I can't blame him for wanting not wanting to p- off Eric. To use another reality tv shows quote, 'it is only a game show' after all, no point in falling out over it.

I'm sorry I didn't see it, as I liked both Eric and Hugo and would have liked to have seen them in the after shows, but I can't stand the puerile nature of that show. I couldn't even watch for them.

The after show used to be good, funny, irreverent and a bit naughty, but now it seems to be an advertisement for ITV2 shows and therefore bereft of any intelligent life. I wish they'd remember that people of all ages watch IAC, not just under 25s.

To be fair, while I enjoy watching IAC it's as fake as the latest drama. The celebrities aren't even in "the remote jungle", they are in a small bit of a national park, a stonethrow away from the set (almost under it) and everything is controlled. You can see it and the various retreats and health spa's in the area on Google Earth if you look carefully.

It's an entertainment show, in a controlled environment, thats edited to look like they are "in the jungle" and exposed to the jungle. Therefore everything else is probably just as scripted.

I would imagine it's all scripted as is every show and that Joe is a character with a script too (maybe thats wishful thinking - surely that can't actually be him) and that the celebs are also aware of this. There have been many criticisms leveled at the celebs in the past and nothing has ever erupted. I would say it stands to reason that at some point it would if it were real.

when the game is over, everyone is friends. like any game, even fierce competitors shake hands when it's over.
to expect joe to be angry with eric is just silly. they are both just doing their job.

I think you are being unduly cynical. The camp is in a rain forest which the show's producers describe as a "jungle" for dramatic purposes. Australia's forests are not as tame as those we have in the UK. There are dangerous critters, snakes and spiders, in them. The nearness of civilization does not itself affect the conditions in the camp. A couple of years ago I made the comment that the living conditions of a homeless person living on the street in a major city are not affected by the presence of a five star luxury hotel nearby. That person is still homeless and living on the street.

It is difficult to know how much, if anything, that happens between contestants is "steered" by the producers. The sort of things that we are seeing in this series are similar to what happened in camp in past years when there was live streaming.

I thought his posture was strange. His body seemed to be turned away from Eric and he did not really look at him when he was interviewing. For the record I do not mind Joe Swash he amuses me.
