......a good, honest Yorkshire lad from Bradford. Last I heard he had qualified as a Speech Therapist and intended getting involved with helping fellow stammerers. Think he was also getting a band together rather than doing any more solo projects.

So the last page and a half of this thread have turned into another case of responding to selective parts of peoples post. Accusations have been thrown about because people read one post and don't bother to read posts that either add to what was said or the posts that caused the reponse.

I think this sums up the attitude of this forum. I asked a simple question to start with. I hoped for a sensible discussion. I got another thread of arguments.

I agree with you there, my daughter at 14 went right off him, until we went to see him in concert. I am old enough to realise that his record company probabaly told him to deny it and can appreciate why he wouldn't want his parents to read about what he thought was a relationship in all its lurid detail. I really hate kiss and tells and have read that Jordan stalked Darius first but he was old and wise enough to body swerve her whereas a 17 year old innocent was caught in her web

I have probably worded it wrong - it just seemed to me that Steve has more detractors than other winner from previous programmes but you're right, it probably IS because of Sharon-gate!

Thinking about it, I don't see anyone you can call G4 "losers" when they managed to get to the final in SPITE of having Louis as their manager! He drove me mad throughout the competition with his pathetic digs (Fred West springs to mind!) and constant plugs for Westlife (ugh). He probably only compared to Steve to Fred West as it reminds him of the name of his precious little boyband - didn't Fred West get life? Sorry, I'm rambling ... anyway, it was quite an achievement for G4 as Louis really bugged me as a manager/judge so surely anybody who would be influenced by the judges and their pantomime behaviour could have had a real anti G4 feeling. I could probably even think about a way to make everyone from Roberta (she made it onto the live show and was the bronze medal winner from the under 25s) and the Chicken Boy (he made it to the final!) a "winner" if I really put my mind to it though so just ignore me!

People probably assume a posters age from their style of posting, maybe thats it?

But sometimes a kid can be precocious and post quite maturly, whilst an adult can sometimes post like a kid.

I'm going to have a look back at previous reality tv shows forums on DS I think, see if it's the same as it was on x-factor.

I think you will find them much the same, these shows tend to bring out the worst in us all. Myself as much as anyone. One of the worst is usually BB, although the ITV PI1 chat and forum was pretty vicious
