Any recommendations? I need to have 2 email accounts up and running on the ipad so am looking for a good generic client, preferably free.

Why isn't the standard one suitable?

Why? I need to have two totally separate email accounts on the iPad. Accessing one through the web interface is too cumbersome.

you can set up multiple email accounts via the built-in mail client.

Indeed. I have three accounts set up on mine in the Mail app.

You can have any number of email addresses on your iOS mail application.

Yes but I want it really separate. One button for him, one for her. There must be plenty of decent email client apps out there, oder?

Some of the dedicated email providers have their own clients you can install if you wish. If you want something general purpose you could have a look at Sparrow - but I don't think it handles push.

Sadly the iPad version of Sparrow never saw the light of day. All development work save for bug fixes was shut down when Google bought them out in the summer.

They are now part of the GMail team.

Thanks for the info. I wasn't aware that Google bought them.
