Have you called them to ask if there's maintenance or faults as I don't think anyone here is going to be able to help.

![]() ![]() Seriously though, as a Suffolk resident myself I find the general coverage of 3G in the county to be terrible. Before spending billions on a 4G network, the operators still haven't got 3G everywhere. |

Yes, but the piece of string between them only stretches so far!

![]() Seriously though, as a Suffolk resident myself I find the general coverage of 3G in the county to be terrible. Before spending billions on a 4G network, the operators still haven't got 3G everywhere. As it operates on a lower frequency than 3g, the signals travel further, so less base stations required. Also, Orange and TMO use 1800 for their 2g. They are using 1800 for 4g too and so all they need to do is change the kit at the bottom of the tower and get extra back-haul to it to carry the traffic. Lot simpler than deploying 3g there, as that would require extra antenna's and feeders. |

I find it had to believe there is no 3G in Suffolk, when there is the towns/cities of Ipswitch, BSE, Stowmarket and Lowestoft....
WHERE specifically are you saying there isn't? All of the above have.. 3G with EE. |
