Coronation Street FanFic
Coronation Street has announced that Joseph Perry is to be appointed as the new Executive Producer of the Manchester based soap. This news follows Steve Blackburn's eleventh hour u-turn after being given the role in Autumn 2012. Perry has previously worked at EastEnders, over seeing the controversial Paraplegic and Self-Harming story-lines before leaving the soap to work on other projects. Joseph Perry described the job as a 'dream' and a 'real honour and privilege'.
It's widely thought that Joseph Perry will enforce a cast cull which could see characters like Sunita Alahan, Karl Munro, Rob Donovan, Tommy Duckworth and Izzy Armstrong leave the nations most famous cobbles. But Perry has said that we won't rush into any decisions and will take a complete evaluation before sharpening the axe. Perry will take over with immediate effect. |

7.30 Monday 3rd December 2012
Tyrone wakes up in a hot sweat, he's been thrown by a nightmare. He glances at his alarm clock next to him, it reads 5:45am, he looks to his right and sees Kirsty sitting bolt upright. He looks ahead of him and sees Ruby's cot, but she is not in it. He looks again at Kirsty, she continues to stare but not speak. The mechanic asks Kirsty where Ruby is. She continues to ignore him, Tyrone gets increasingly worried and demands to know where his daughter is. Kirsty mutters something about trust and revenge before heading back to sleep. Tyrone is baffled by his fiancee's behaviour and walks downstairs to search for Ruby. He can't find her and picks up the phone, the wire has been cut though and the phone is out of use. Tyrone then looks for his mobile phone, but he has no joy, he panics over his next move, he looks at his arm and sees the wounds that Kirsty has previously inflicted on him. Frightened and worried he tries to leave the house, but the doors are locked and the keys are missing. He sees Kirsty standing at the top of the landing glaring down at him.
Once the street have woken up, normal life resumes. In the Platt household, David and Kylie arrive downstairs to see Gail and Max joined by Lewis at the breakfast table. Lewis is in his pyjamas, chequered bottoms and a pinstriped shirt, partially covered by a blue and grey horizontally striped dressing gown. Kylie makes a joke about Gail having spent the night with Lewis, Gail angrily stares at her daughter-in-law in response. David begins to prepare cereal for Max's breakfast whilst Kylie continues to press Gail and Lewis. Lewis laughs off Kylie's assumptions but Gail is less quick to humour her and doesn't react well to Lewis' attitude. An observant David can see that his mother fancies the ex-conman and is alarmed by her behaviour, but he also notices that Lewis is reacting well to his new found attention. David decides to act before the situation gets out of hand and it becomes too late. After work, Owen and Gary join Tommy and Tina at the bistro. Hoping for a quiet meal, Tommy doesn't react well to the impromptu arrivals. H becomes fed up of Gary and Owen's continues baby questions for his girlfriend, it gets to the point where Tommy threats to walk out of the bistro. But whilst he throws a tantrum, Tina complains that she isn't feeling well. As Gary and Owen try to get the surrogate mother-to-be to Dr Carter's surgery, the barmaid collapses on the floor of the bistro. Nick is quick to usher everyone out whilst Leanne rushes to get Dr Carter. The situation is too much for Tommy to deal with, nobody notices that he walks out on his collapsed, pregnant, girlfriend. Tommy Duckworth Chris Fountain Tina McIntyre Michelle Keegan Dr Carter Oliver Mellor Leanne Battersby Jane Danson Nick Tilsley Ben Price Gary Windass Mikey North Owen Armstrong Ian Puleston-Davies David Platt Jack P. Shepherd Lewis Archer Nigel Havers Gail McIntyre Helen Worth Max Turner Harry McDermott Kylie Platt Paula Lane Tyrone Dobbs Alan Halsall Kirsty Soames Natalie Gumede Ruby Soames |
