NOW the judges like him! NOW simon wants to support him! NOW they think he'll make a great album! NOW they seem to support him! Seems suspicious to me....
I mean why would they go for the big power ballad as the first song? I'm thinking the audience will forget it by the end. No idea how the judges can change their minds about him that quickly, especially louis.

Well he sang it well so they couldn't really slate him for it without it looking like a vendetta.

The producers have finally realised that all the negative comments by the judges are only encouraging the public to vote for him more, so they're trying to do the opposite to get rid of him before the final!

Hope people still vote for him and it backfires on them

Hmmm its classic X Factor...be as positive as possible and hopefully he will be out as a lack of sympathy votes. Actually echos the tabloid reports this week that they'd been ordered to be nice to him, to stop promoting a surge of sympathy votes.

They're pulling the old reverse psychology trick

"If they are voting for Chris because we make nasty comments about him let's try and praise him instead"

Well they have to start giving some positive feedback to their winner. May be they're just over it already. I've accepted that Chris is gonna be in the final and possibly win and although I will hate it, I have just come to be ok w/ it. No point in putting up so much energy fighting it. People already know Chris' criticism by now so why should they really bother at this point. They are faking it and they've learned from the master Chris. lol

Because they think we are all daft doughnuts who can't see that they are just being nice to try and stop the sympathy votes.
I have voted twice so far. Last week 6 times, week before 6 times.. And so on..
I honestly WOULD buy his album and am looking forward to it.

They have realise that being horrible and nasty to him only gets people's backs up and therefore more votes. The look on tilisa's face when she was speaking spoke a lot louder than what she said.

I think they have been told to praise him.. hoping the public then dont need to vote for him... after all it seems the votes have been because they want to annoy Simon..:

Lets hope it works..

Yep. This.

I don't really like him, his style or his singing style. But there is no denying he sang that song brilliant.

I could actually see him in the west end.

Good luck to him. It's all irrelevant really.

Obviously the producers have decided the only hope of Christopher to not win is if they attempt to defuse Christopher's anti-X-Factor/Cowell vote.

To be fair it was very difficult to fault that performance after us Brits have had to suffer the ghastly Westlife over-emoted version all these years.

But it's no match for the definitive version which Gary Barlow correctly identified:

Or 'panic reverse psychology'

Have they left it too late?

We'll see tomorrow

It was word perfect, Chris's voice was so strong! Amazing. They would have looked pathetic if they lied and it looks like the fan base is in tonight, Nicole almost got booed! she back tracked just in time . Loved it!

I don't think they "like" it...

...I think they know they can't be repetitive. When you give someone the same critique week after week after week and the person doesn't take it on board or change really then theres no point in saying it anymore.

Most of their praise is like "...Yeah. It was good...! ...?" Theres more being said than their words.

Same with last week, she looked quite bored and detatched. During Chris performances she barely even bothered to look at the stage properly. Both times tonight she has refrained from criticising Chris but really sounds insincere.

The producers' ploy will backfire anyway, as Chris will reach the final (cannot stand him, but it'll annoy Cowell no end).
