I blame the producers. I'm sure Jahmene, left to his own devices, wouldn't say anything about his past.

But if he still had angsts re his past, he should talk to someone about it, as keeping stuff like that inside him will only warp his outlook. Talking it out is always better in the long run.

Exactly! It can't be very fun for him- to have to keep reliving horrors from his past, and it being broadcast on national TV especially as he seems like a very private person.

If he was trying to 'cash in on it' (like some really insensitive ppl have been saying on here) then he would have mentioned it on his first audition (which he DIDN'T)

He is one of the most genuine people on the show- and is actually using his talent to raise awareness for important issues. He is the epitomy of talent with a purpose.

How do you know HE is doing it. Sounds more like the judges and producers to me.

You have no evidence that it is Jahmene - but you make such nasty allegations.

I don't consider you to be in any position to take the moral high ground.

There is no way that Jarmeyne should win this, he has issues and is to be honest not going to cope, he needs to grow up, get over his demands, and just learn to Explore himself, he is not ready for stardom at all and it seems unfair that he has been put in this position, because there is no way that he will make a career out of this, he is not sexy, he does not have a unique voice" he does not have any charisma, he is a young man with a very sad back story, Who will never capture the uk Market,. Union J or James Arthur will win, hate James so will vote, for Union J

He needs to grow up???!!! He has proven that he has immense courage and strength- how can you say that?? Not only from his past- but the strength to overcome his shyness and sing infront of millions of people...

I think he HAS got a career in this- he has a soulful, unique and beautiful voice backed up by him being a humble and likeable person.

You don't have to be 'sexy' to move people with your voice- and to me he has undeniable talent.

What has sexy got to do with anything. And your idea of sexy is not everyone's idea. If you find dullard boy bands sexy, that says it all in my opinion. It also suggests you vote according to who you fancy - what a no,no.

Since when did you know better than the judges, who are in the music business, who will/will not 'capture the uk market'. Very arrogant.

I understand why people don't want to here the sob stories
should be about the voice and performance.

leave rest out for the autobiography

Oh, but he does.

You can blame the producers all you like, but he has the choice to be judged on his singing or his background.

We can see for ourselves each week what he's chosen to do.

I dislike how Jahmene is constantly referring to his past problems - it's not just the producers. Yes, out of place and should remain reasonably private. Nicole was ludicrous, dabbing her dry eyes as soon as he started singing.

We (Joe Public) see only a tiny portion of what actually goes on. How do you know what choice he has? Are you there? Do you work behind the scenes?

Please enlighten us to your vast knowledge on the subject.

Ok, I'll try to keep this simple: someone asks you a question, you have two choices, to answer or not to answer. It's your choice. It's Jahmene's decision whether or not he talks about his life.

Doesn't matter if people are goading or pressuring him (you're right, we don't know what goes on behind the scenes), because it is always his choice.

And he chooses to talk about it. His choice.

I hope that has enlightened you.

Oh get out of it. I'm not picking on anyone. I'm just pointing out that people are picking on Jahmene without knowing the full facts. Simples!

No it is not that simple. And the fact you think it is, just proves to me that your opinions are based on assumptions not facts, as I have already said.

But you are wrong which was proved when you found your own words nasty when put back on you. The producers make the show and decide what is shown.

Only an ignoramus would believe that the contestants have full directional control about what is shown about them on Xfactor.

The Producers run the show, not the contestants, that is a fact.

Well said!

I'm so tired of all these threads about Jahmene and their negativity.

Anyone with an ounce of sense in their heads can see from the way he is on the show that he is the most genuine contestant and the only reason he suffers all the talk about his family and past is to raise awareness so that others can be helped.

Some of the posts that people write on this forum make me shudder - that they could even be a small reflection on what people in the real world think. Heaven forbid.

And at the end of the day - it's about his voice!

Has ANYONE even thought that Jahmene talking about his past might be helping HIM most of all?? Probably wasn't given a chance in the past (before the show anyway) to express his pain etc. As he said yesterday after singing his first song, he felt like he 'let go of something'....if that was the way he needed to do that, by TALKING about it, then why not?????
