I can't take him seriously when he's singing.

Totally agree! Just cannot take to him at all. He sounds the same every song he does! Hope he goes home tomorrow!

Lol

That's a completely different song you bad person

Channel flicking & caught about 8 gawd awful seconds. That was enough for me.

Glad I didn't catch any of him performing One

His slurring was very bad tonight - it was only because I caught a few words that I realised it was U2!

Yet, the judges praise him to the heavens, perhaps it sounds different (better) in the studio - because on my telly, it was really poor tonight.

it sounds poor every time he sings he must hold the record for songs ruined in the x factor

Why dont the judges pick up on this? He sounds like he's singing after/during a binge in the pub most of the time.

Because it's too late and they don't want to look even more stupid than they are. They built him up to be some sort of superstar and he isn't and they can't really backtrack on their words at this stage.

I've said it before - he doesn't have star quality, he is not a good singer, he doesn't move well and he doesn't know how to control his breathing.

He crucified the great Marvin Gaye's "Let's Get it on" last week and he's done it again tonight.

I doubt his albums will go platinum.

If it looks like a busker and sounds like a busker, then............. etc!!

Obviously until X-factor even his own siblings looked down on him, judging by the VT.

Agree with the bits in bold. Sometimes watching XF makes me feel bad as I like to sing a bit sometimes but I have trouble breathing too. Dont think James is particularly good though.

I've thought this from the first second I heard him but the 'expert' judges would have us believe he's the best thing ever to happen the world, ever.

Ed Sheeran made him look absolutely ridiculous with one appearance on the X Factor.

He isn't very popular on this forum, I don't think I've ever seen such a neglected appreciation thread :
Surprises me tbh, although quite often DS is no measure of who is going to succeed after XF.
