Some notes sounded flat until he brought it back. I think it's his style. He did hit the notes, eventually.

Yep they started flat and he reined them in. Really noticeable on the long notes. His first performance was much better.

It was worse than the first one and a bit iffy in parts and I've heard him do it too many times by now. It wasn't terrible but I think he should have done a different one or done the songs in reverse order.

Yes, he does tend to slide into his notes - which is fine in some genres, but not in others.

Flat as a pancake. The judges are deaf, they are absolute rubbish. Why can't they hear it?

Of course they didn't say anything - they never, ever do.

It's pathetic, it makes the whole show look absolutely stupid.

No need to beat yourself up - a good ear is just genetics.

Sorry that's gospel music, it is called belting. It's Okay that you don't understand because the UK aren't aware of the various areas of gospel music, just listen to the likes of Patti Labelle, Jennifer Holiday, Kelly Price and Yolanda Adams

What's the connection? They all sing out of tune too?

You never get the same feeling from the audition when the song is repeated in the Lives. But he was still good - some sharp notes I detected. His average is still better than most people's best.
