lol when ella was on the show everyone here was saying she was so boring and wanted her gone... and now shes going there saying she should have won.. make up your minds

Totally underwhelming show this year, way to much obvious manipulation, way to much bad press and entirely forgettable

Nobody stood out tonight, nobody had any star quality, no charisma, nothing different
Just slow song after slow song

This is what happens when the wrong people get voted off!. You get to the semi final stages and look what you are left with.

No one stands out, its all about who has the greatest sympathy story over the actual performance!

What gets me is that its just so bland, an all male semi final is really boring, theirs nothing different or exceptional!

it's terrible. The worst thing about it is there's not a teeny bit of imagination or courage from any of them.

it's only 2 years since the great freedom fighter Cher Guevara tried to break the formula open and it's slipped right back to where it was previously

The problem was the final twelve (thirteen?) were so lacklustre to begin with, that there was nowhere for the show to go.

Only Rylan had a spark of energy and fun. The rest have been slash-your-wrists dire. That may work when a couple are like that, but not nearly ALL your finalists. Just look at the godawful semi-final that we've had.

Oh, and Ella was shouty and crap. She wouldn't have saved the show. Good luck ever hearing from her again.

Why? Union J are just terrible. I can't explain to you just how bad they are.

It needed Carolynne, Melanie, Jade and Ella not to be voted out.....and now we are left with these clowns....crap, truly crap.
I hope Chris wins now.

There hasn't been a contestant this year who I've deemed worthy of winning since Jade Ellis was eliminated! That's just down to my personal taste though. Whoever wins now, I'lll think "Out of all the thousands of people who auditioned, they were the best one?!". There were acts who didn't even make it to Judges' Houses who entertained me more than the finalists.

Rylan winning the X Factor would have amazing, something to remember, a true entertainer and he could do the Lady Gaga type songs it would be been funny.

Anyways... I don't like the others at all funnily.
It's shocking that Ella ain't there no more.

Union J - will have the best chance of success i think. They'll do well but no where near One Direction.

James Arthur - well he's good but i hate his attitude not to mention all the newspaper clippings of him in clubs dont make me warm to him. He seems up himself to me... I think he could make a decent record and there's space for people like that who are doing well. So he'd be a good winner for the show but he'd be like Cardle desperately trying to loosen the tag every week

Jahemene - now this is just the whole Joe McElderry thing all over again. Great singer. Never been in bottom 2. Quite obviously he is going to finish Top 2 at least. He may have a hit album or two, but unless he wins they'll bring out an album of covers for Valentines/Mothers Day.

Chris - i am surprised he's got this far. Half of the audience in the studio almost booed him there. It's really strange unless he really has got people voting excessively for him. If he wins he'll be the worst winner of the show. I just can't even imagine what type of music he'd do. Its all so clear why those negative stories have been in the press to get rid of him like it worked for Misha B - he must be topping most weeks at least. When he sings it sounds very karaoke/clubby/musical/panto for me he has those bad habits. Cowell would have had rid of him by now by constantly knit picking to negativise the public. I think he might just win and itll be interesting to see how Sony try to get rid of him.

Who should win, if i had my way....i want Jahemene to win. Best singer. Make a good album. Get dropped etc. But is he a worldwide superstar, NO. But the best of a bad bunch.
If Chris wins.....make an album....wont sell well.....dropped
James.....will spend a year making an album....come out with a decent song...could go either way. Not a long standing success story, never.
Union J....win or lose the most commercial act. They'll do well i am sure of it.

Who should have been the final? If i had my way - Lucy Spraggan, Ella Henderson, Jahemene and Union J. Ella shoulda won.
They shouldn't have even risked deadlock in case it got rid of Ella. I would have had to let James go at that point. He quite clearly is happy with the boost this show has given him and will do his own thing and release music. He'll easily get a deal with another label so it didn't matter. Ella was the winner for this show, Cowell would NEVER have let that happen. I can see if Cowell was here, he would have sang the praises of Ella, Jahemene and Union J every week and they would have been the final.

I think we'll be getting Valentines/Mothers Day albums for Chris and Jahemene, unless they win.
Union J single sometime around March-June to not compete with One Direction. Single will go Top 3. They'll get a successful album, next album will dip.
James Arthur will be the one they spend the longest time with but it'll be just like Matt Cardles release. He'll hate the show have a semi successful album and eventually go independent to do things his way.
ELla should get signed anyway and do a Delta Goodrem type album it would have been amazing.

I agree with the OP, no worthy winner, none of them have what it takes to become recording artists.

Jahmene is a subpar Josh Groban, and the comparison is an insult for Groban.
Chris needs to find a cruize ship.
Union J are decent singers, but as dull as it gets and the Westlife style has passed and gone.
James style being singer-songwriter, he needs to sing his original songs, otherwise he is a a copycat original artist and this is not original at all. May be he is a genious songwriter, and may be not.
On the show, the James dark and moody style is now one dimensional and gimmicky.

James would be a pretty good winner, but thats about it.

Can't be bothered to watch the live shows anymore, no talent this year and as soon as Rylan was voted off the show got boring fast.
