Charlie is a brilliant actress, Janine is a brilliant character.

Well I thought everyone would of wanted her to win. Did you like it when Joe Swash won it he was in Eastenders

Why would that make me want her to win? For the record I absolutely LOVE her in Eastenders, she's definitely one of the best characters in it and a brilliant actress. But that has nothing to do with what she's like as a campmate.

I have. Charlie Brooks is without doubt the best actress in Eastenders (and I love her character of Janine). But - what the hell has her being in Eastenders got to do with her 'performance' on this year's IAC? She was totally anonymous, a little bit bitchy (not only about Helen - although Helen deserved it more than most), and she really made a meal of 'missing out' on seeing her daughter (bearing in mind that she chose to be away from her for three weeks).

Make no mistake - Charlie owes winning this year's IAC to Kiki, Eastenders fans and the fact that the kind of people who vote in this thing are extremely jingoistic (most will be Sun readers) and won't have a 'johnny foreigner' win - EVER.

If the dog that played Wellard is to be in it next year - I'm assuming you'll be singing its praises too!

No, I'm not disappointed- because I guessed the result days ago. I am, fair enough, disappointed that so many of the public are not as keen on fair play as they are on Eastenders.

Thankyou Ashley for being so wonderfully entertaining, wicked and a real winner. I would have not watched the programme but for your injection of life, charisma and humour.
Charlie seems nice enough, but so boring. She won the 'mummy' vote, which was so tiresome to watch. :yawn:

I find it a bit sad that lots of people weren't interested in what was really, going on. They'd undoubtedly have voted the same way whatever went on. That's not a making up of minds or weighing things up. It's a huge vote based partly or mostly in seeing a familiar face. I'm going to re read ' Brave New World'.

I am at a total loss to understand what went on here? Strange series all round really and when I heard the result just switched off. What a waste of time all the real characters gone but in the end they will be the people that are remembered and I hope Ashley uses it to boost her career.

Charlie always struck me as someone who always flew under the radar and actually she is the reason I stopped watching eastenders all those years ago when they killed Barry off because it was done so badly and I just realised what trash the programme was and have never watched since.
