Quite easy really, just more votes, plain and simple. People cannot vote on here to boost Ashleys votes higher but then not bother to vote on the show!

I am very shocked with how many people moan and are grumpy but then turn around and say that they dont vote!

I was disappointed that Charlie wasn't featured much in the edits, yet people coming out were saying what a great person/ Jungle mate she was, so had a feeling that they were keeping her best bits back so that it wasn't a walkover. Loved Ashley, David and Eric too x

I must confess that I didn't vote either (never have - apart from the year David Gest was in it) so I'm partially to blame for her not winning despite wanting her to win.

It would have been a losing battle though - as you cannot win over the might of the insane EE vote. As someone pointed out in another thread - if EE fans can vote Jessie Wallace as the sexiest female in Soap (three years on the trot!!!!) then I'm sure they could get Derek Branning into number 10 if he were up for election.

If one person had control of the media it could happen ! It almost has, already ie Murdoch. Scary thought !

I don't understand how the forums get it so wrong though. The majority on here think Ashley should've won, yet Charlie wins.

Gonna start betting against the majority opinion on here and I might win a bob or two.

For me I think it's Eastenders bias again and Charlie having a cute daughter.

Not if the voting was as close as Ant and Dec said - the lead was switching all the time. We`ll have to wait for voting figures to find out if true.

A sound-bite that all presenters of these kind of voting shows come out with. I doubt Ashley was ever in the lead.

At the end of the day - its been a fairly good series (by no means the best - but certainly nowhere near the worst) and most of the other contestants this year made it an interesting show for the viewers.

Of all the people in the show - Ashley's profile has been raised the most so she's done what she set out to do.

Lol! Totally agree with you. I'm amazed at how people think that the only way is their way. They don't vote cos they think that all the people agreeing with them on forums will do the voting for them, then they are annoyed when they don't get the result they wanted! As if anyone on here really tells the truth all the time?????

i liked both charlie and ashley. didn't have a problem with either of them but preferred ashley and voted for her to win. i genuinely believe if ashley was british she'd have won. charlie did fantastic but ashley is sooooo nice, funny, easygoing, bright, beautiful and was incredibly consistent all that time in there. i've never understood or felt comfortable with the 'voting for your own' patriotic thing, but it certainly exists in society and plays a big part in these voting type shows, and think it just helped put charlie in front on this occasion. pleased for charlie though..she did well. kinda fallen for ashley. what dreams are made of

kat slater won "sexiest female" at soap awards 3 years in a row for the same reason.when realistically she was outside the top 100. 1 reason... begins with depressing.....ends with enders


lets not forget joe swash managed to win also.why?
