Didn't do anything until the last week. Invisible character winning shows Britain has no taste.

They should not bother inviting any more Americans to the show there are too many small minded people her who will not vote for them no matter how good they are imo. If Ashley was Brittish she would have walked this again imo.

I wanted her to win too guys but you're all coming across as a bit sour, who are we to say what is/isn't entertaining? entertainment is subjective in the eyes of different people, obviously some people simply thought Charlie was entertaining, end of.

A lot of the recent Charlie fans are closet bigots and ITV are disgusting shoving Kiki down our throats every frigging night. Always the worse one wins. Am writing to Ofcom.

To be honest, I really don't think that it was because Ashley was American. Ashley was brilliant in there, but she never seemed to really struggle with anything. In my mind, she was a female David, and took everything in her stride. David didn't put a foot wrong, but he came third.
Charlie on the other hand did visibly struggle with quite a bit, she overcame stuff and thats what normally makes a winner. Also, some people may have thought that it would mean more to Charlie. I don't watch Eastenders, but I wanted Charlie to win, it wasn't because of her daughter, but to me, there was a vulnerabliity about her that I thought as quite charming. That said, I wouldn't have been upset if Ashley had won because I think they were both brilliant in there. In fact I don't think anything more needs to be said.

Ashley should have won,She was a far nicer character than Charlie.I agree about her daughter getting mentioned at every opportunity, alas too many eastenders fans voting.Shame.

Aww, come on - that's a bit overstated. Although I do think Ashley should have won (for several reasons), the British public kept her in till the final two - not like she was voted out in the first or second round. Even that rotten Janice Dickinson stayed put until the final two. In fact, Americans tend to overstay a fair number of Brits on IAC - they may not win but neither are they the lamb for the slaughter either. |

The point is that if Ashley cant win then there is no chance of any American winning she was as near perfection as you could get imo there are no boxes she did not tick. I dont think anyone could find anything negative to say about her. I found people saying we must vote for one of our own a disgrace.
That it's unlikely to get an American contestant quite as good as Ashley who shares so many positive characteristics for a very long time. Possibly several years. I too can't think of many boxes left for her to tick. So for the near future at least, and if we're treating it as a competition with a final winner, Americans may as well not bother taking part. I did get that you were being deliberately sarcastic.

I do get your point, which I don't think some on this thread did.

Compared with Charlie, Ashley seemed much more confident, both with herself and as part of the game. That counted in Charlie's favour, since most people are NOT that confident and relate better to someone else who isn't.
