...but once again it's James Arthur that takes the fake honours tonight...

For his 'Song that can get me to the Final' he said he chose 'Power of Love' because it meant something special to him???

Nothing to do with the fact that it's currently riding high in the charts on the back of this years fantastic John Lewis Christmas Advert then !!!!

...and the brother and sister bit in the VT for the first song...fake, fake, fake!!

Almost some crocodile tears to go with the crocodile voice!!

It had everything to do with it, I'd agree. I'm not fussed on the ad, though - mainly because the cover they've used this year is so incredibly poorly executed.

Thought "Power of Love" would have been much better suited to Chris's style really - and at least he can claim citizenship of the same city as Frankie goes to Hollywood, which would sound more plausible as a rationale than James used.

Perhaps the fact that it has recently entered the public conscious again has stirred up old memories in him of christmases past. I know it has for me. I think that song will hold sentimental value for a lot of people.

I'm surprised he didn't want to sing a song from his 'idol' Labrinth

Noooooo. Chris did enough damage with Micky Bubbles song. The thought of him screwing up Frankie's is just not on lol.
