It's a minor celebrity winning a farcical popularity contest on a small time TV programme broadcast in the UK which has the cute additional purpose of boosting their earnings.

A hard rain?

Mr Dylan does not approve!

I've called, he said " Who the fu*k are you?
Stop calling me about this stoopid show"

I rest my case!

Speaking of which

They should do something a bit more to promote this one seriously useful point of all the pointlessness.

When you vote do they speak to it?
This aint live aid....

I honestly never care who the winner is of IAC. The final four or five are usually really likable anyway.

Hell, even if it was Eric that won I would still be immensely happy about it.

Honestly, the winner doesn't matter. I would've been happy for either of them.

So that's a "no"?

They make no mention (butperhapsoneofthoseridiculousfastreadsthroughthesmallprint) of the charity even when you vote?

I'm well pleased for both of them. I wanted Ashley to win, just because she could benefit more from it than Charlie (in my opinion). I'm glad for them, just the same. Roll on next year!

She won by sympathy votes and didn't get through an episode without mentioning her daughter.
That's not true..David never once mentioned his son Cassius yet people were making threads about why he never mentioned him....i don't think it was anything to do with Kiki...as a mum myself maybe, just maybe she was missing Kiki and talking about her was reassuring, not only to her but to Kiki too. For what it's worth i didn't vote for either girls because i liked them both, they will be friends for life i reckon.

I am delighted she won.
Too many people think she is Janine from EE.
Get over it
Lol. Posts like "how can she win! She killed Barry!"

I've noticed a few threads on here tonight and there's people that are very anti Charlie can't you just be happy she won.

okay both girls did wonderful I loved them both and even though I love Charlie I did vote for Ashley, it's been another wonderful series so can all the Ashley fans just stop being against Charlie. and let's just chat about the series!

I don't know them but Im sure Ashley and Charlie themselves wouldn't like to see all this "Ashley should of won" crap.
Now the competition element is out of the way, I am happy for Charlie - naturally I'd have preferred Ashley to win but she didn't. That doesn't alter the fact that was such a lovely finale - didn't those two women bond with each other!

Where is your evidence for this? Oh, that's right, you don't have any - it's just you're opinion, but stated as if it's a fact.

She didn't mention her daughter every episode at all, and anyway, you think they weren't ALL talking about their children (the ones who had children)? ITV made the decision about how they edited 24 hours of talking into an hour's show every night - you were only seeing the bits ITV wanted you to see.

I don't vote, but I liked Charlie from the off. Please don't lump everyone into your cynical summing up of the situation - unless or until you can provide evidence of the proportion of votes which were given 'in sympathy' then you are entitled to your opinion, but don't state it as if it's a fact as you did.

I would have preferred Ashley to win, but I'm happy enough with Charlie, don't get the hate.
Absolutely this!

I'm happy for her, but for the life of me can't believe she won.

she was just like background music,

It's obvious she got votes for just being in eastenders,, hopefully this will be a wake up call for itv
and not allow anyone from that show to be included again, you'd think they would have known better from all the soap awards won for eastenders by the young obsessed fans of the show.
Again, evidence? I watch EE but even if I did vote I'd vote for the PERSON, not the character they play or the job they do. How silly would that be? Undoubtedly that is what some do, but not all - and you can't say it would be enough people to make Charlie win. Believe it or not - and you clearly don't - she could have just made an impact for being her!

I honestly never care who the winner is of IAC. The final four or five are usually really likable anyway.

The most sensible, well-balanced and reasonable thing I've read on almost any thread of this programme.
