Personally I wouldn't risk the huge pay cheque for 3 weeks work that you get from doing panto season, you take work where you can, when you can - he'll know from previous years that he's not missing anything
I was more confused as to why Brian wasn't there on the final day. Nadine I could understand, but surely Brians panto contract wouldn't have had rehearsals starting until after the show finished. Unless he just didn't want to be there.

Yeah because Colin also starts panto very soon and he said that he was practising while he was in Oz but he stayed till the end unlike Brian.

It would have been a little awkward considering ITV never even mentioned a reason for his departure if he had been there. Maybe he just didn't want to turn up

That was what i was thinking, is there two more episodes of that series because Patt Sharp tweeted that the trials was one of a 3 part serires
