James Arthur has been one of the most consistently good contestants the X Factor has seen, he has caught my attention and held it.
Jahmene and Ella have had their moments too.
Jaymi from 'Union Jaymi' has been a solid performer, good enough to have entered as a soloist.
Nicole has been a delight, but then again I always did like her.
Rylan brought a sense of fun, and showed everyone how you leave the X Factor on a high.
Some of the staging has been excellent, such as Rylan's Spice Girl week, and (I think it was Christopher's) chessboard.
The studio audience have been toned down/de-amped from previous years.
