It's been a tough ole year for Jay. I personally think he's handled things very well.

None of these housemates are trained media personalities and the sudden press/public interest has been a massive learning curve for all of them.

Was he forced at gunpoint to go on BB?

Well he brought it on himself by entering BB - and keeping his head down IS a good idea - if he can't take the heat he should stay out of the kitchen .....

I hope Nadia fans remember this when zings come her way. No one forced her to go to BB5 either, after lying about far more than Jason did. Is she still looking for looove or has she got a little on the side tucked away, out of the spotlight?

Of course no one is forced to go on, and the upside is great. But they don't get any advice on how to handle hacks and sometimes this can create a media image that isn't based on reality.

Just want to share the flipside, not saying he's perfect!

You can say that again! He seems quite nice in print.

I know Marco, Dean and Cameron do from my own contact with them. I spoke to Emma a while back and she is a member here though doesn't actively post.

I think they're all pretty brave cos you guys can be harsh. You scare me!

Four times?

Fair play to Jason for handling what must have been the most emotionally turbulent six months of his life and dealing with it like an adult. I hope he finds what he's looking for.

Jay doesn't have a PC, bless him!!! Hates all things computery! I should know, we handle his website!!!

And no Electra, you seem a sweetie!

My take on the HMs I know:

Dean's a lovely guy!!!! Not seen him in aaages. Dean if you're reading this, pop in and see me!

Marco, a gem. Exchanged a couple of messages with him.

Emma - way, way lovelier than she appeared to be on TV. Great girl!!! Super friendly. Had a 'riot' at Kitsch Lounge Riot's launch.

Bubble - met him once. Seemed ok.

Jason - far LESS self-interested than you would expect. Honest, ambitious, likeable.

Cameron, absolute angel. The most tolerant person I have ever met. (I know this will set off the flames of hell in here, but this is my opinion only based on personal experience).

I hear that Fed and Vic are nice guys but having not met either of them that's just conjecture.

Dean has been very well received here. I think that tells you a lot.

Oh I met Jon once too, at Company Magazine's bachelor of the year awards. I was taught as a little girl ' If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all' so I shall not comment on him!

Jason is honest to the point of bluntness. But he is honest so I gotta give credit where it's due.

And though I am nice (thanks for saying so Electra) Cameron's seen my evil twin more than once hence me knowing he's bloody tolerant!

Jason's media image was forged by himself on BB every night :

A bitter foul-mouthed self-obsessed orange whinger .....

Like he was honest about his sexuality to get on BB and again while he was there?

No, the media image is forged by the media!

If you were imprisoned in a small space for 10 weeks, would we see the best of your character Omah? Or would we see you, under pressure, stressed, bored, scared??

The one thing I have found in 99% of cases is when you meet an ex-BB person, they are quite different to the person you saw on the telly.

He wanted to get on the show. He knew what he had to do to get on.

I suppose lying at an audition is similar to lying on your CV or in a job interview. Not great but happens all the time.

As soon as he came out, he was honest and gave a media story advising why he'd said he was bi-sexual.
