She got the most votes.
.We can all have opinions as to why the person should have one or not and come up with conspiricy theories, but this is the reason she won same as every other winner.

She won because she is british thats all, people voted for her to make sure an american could not take the title. Ashley was far more enteraining and a much nicer person she should of won.

I'm not British and I preferred Charlie. What do you make of that?

IMO if Ashley was Brittish she would have won by a mile.

I don't think that the fact Charlie is British was the sole reason she won but it did certainly help her you even had people on the show itself saying Charlie should win as she's British.

I think the EE vote helped to and maybe just maybe Kiki got her a few votes.

That said I like the girl and I'm not bothered she won

This post is simply illogical. If being British was the ONLY reason Charlie won, she would have been joint winner with every other British contestant and Ashley would have come last.

I have to say that everyone I know that watches did not want an American to win and I think that went for most viewers. I think Charlie was a poor substitute though. David woz robbed!

So you think someone would vote for someone on there nationality even if they don't like them obviously not people obviously voted for Charlie because they liked her more than Ashley ( I haven't anything against her ) and that is a fact everyone's just making a big deal because the forum favourite didn't win ( even though this forum doesn't represent the public ) can't anyone just be happy for Charlie

They may not mind an American been in the camp to watch but have that person winning is a whole other matter again I do think (hope) those people are in the minority.

In the first CBB this year people voted for the drunk and the druggie who some admitted they didn't like but it was better than an American winning

If Ashley had won there'd have been loads of people moaning because an American girl had won a British reality TV programme. She was damned either way.

I wanted Ashley to win in the end because I was fed up of hearing about Kiki. :-/

I think a reason Charlie won aswell is because of Eastenders, most of the Enders fans would have voted for her!

I wouldn't say most of the fans they may have wanted her to win but wasn't going to pay to see it happen,.

Too many c0ckneys voting 10 times each is why she won. Also Kiki would've been scarred for life if she didn't win it.

Going by that logic, if Eastenders fans were voting for Charlie then surely Corrie fans were voting for Helen? But Helen went out quite early on.

This. Why are people so desperate to try and explain away the fact that Charlie won? The idea that people were sitting there saying to each other how much they liked Ashley more than Charlie but were voting for Charlie because she is British is frankly ridiculous.

Me 2. I didn't know much about Ashley before IAC but found her far more entertaining then Charlie. Ashley deserved to win and I hope she's really proud of what she achieved.

I wonder how many Ashley fans that are grumbling about her losing actually bothred to vote. It's one thing to want something to happen but quite another to make it happen.
