I can't recall anywhere where I've seen her state or even imply that she thinks she is an "excellent dancer". And no one needs to mention her weight or her gurning. The judges simply need to mention her shoddy footwork, her poor posture, her blatant errors, her gapping when in hold etc etc. And mark her accordingly. Last night's QS was a car crash.

Because Michael has improved leaps and bounds in ballroom to the point where he is one of the best ballroom dancers this year (in comparison to previous years that's not saying much, but still), and his Latin is now improved from the horror that was his jive. Natalie has worked miracles.

I don't like Nicky, but even I will admit that he's better than where he was at the start of the competition. He was overmarked for the Charleston but it wasn't awful, and his AT wasn't a disaster when it could easily have been. I don't rate Karen at all, but clearly some of what she's teaching him is sticking as even his posture isn't as awful as it used to be (it's still not good though).

Lisa, on the other hand, hasn't improved at all since week 1. I thought her cha cha was overrated and she's been overmarked ever since. There wasn't a shred of decent ballroom technique in her Quickstep - she was doing the steps in the right order and that's about it. There were timing issues, no heel leads, no energy in her kicks and the end was just embarassingly out of sync. Plus for an actress she hasn't acted any of the dances so far, she just plasters the same smirk on her face each week and that's just as bad as Louis' non-performance.

Plenty of reason to single her out.

What, the reason that she hasn't improved technically at all since week 1 (and that's where the 'same' criticism comes from - it's the same level of bad dancing, as well as some very similar choreography by Robin in all of the Latin dances) isn't a valid one? I thought I was watching a show that was to some extent about dancing!

Overall she's worse than Michael, yes, and you say he couldn't move his body in time - neither could she, her leg extensions and kicks were so laboured and the end was completely out of time. And yes, Robin was woeful last night too, I don't rate his dancing or choreography at all.

Yes it is an entertainment show but it is also supposed to be a dance show.”

I agree with all of that - if she wins, it'll be a joke, and whether or not I watch next year or not will depend hugely on who takes part - that's 3 years in a row that one contestant has almost ruined my enjoyment of the show. The difference being that in the two years previously, I've had a favourite contestant (or 3, in the case of the 3 finalists the year Kara won) who has redeemed the show for me. That's not the case this year.

Perhaps it will be best all round if she goes this Saturday.”

I fervently hope the panto producers insist she does the Saturday shows.

In my opinion, Lisa should be in the bottom two tonight for sure.

I thought her quick step was pretty bad, and she was over-marked again. She is one of the worst dancers left in the competition, so why are so many people on here defending her to the hilt?

Because apparently she is full of fun, energy and bubbly entertainment, rotten dancer and IMO full of herself, but as I always say, we all can't like the same people and she does have her fans.

Its funny with Lisa and Robin, clearly there are better dancers in the competition but despite this I always look forward to seeing their routine more than I do most of the others. The GBP clearly loves her and I wouldn't be surprised to see her and Robin dance all the way to the final!

Maybe there are a few people out there similar in size with a lot less go-get and I-don't-care-about-my-size. Are they living their dream through her?

She makes no secret of her size ( well she couldn't really, could she? )
She is consistently overmarked and I think it is patronising to her to keep her in because she is energised and fun - it's a dance competition ( at least in part ) and her steps and timing are sometimes woeful. Lisa must go”

NO MICHAEL'S time is up. he has been in the dance of at least 3 times now. he has to go this week. LISA will IMO get down to the quarter final. she is not a bad dancer..

Her blatent over-marking was even more obvious last night in a quickstep riddled with timing issues and bad footwork

Once again, all of the judges turned a blind eye and gave her great comments and scores

and NO, I dont hate Lisa at all - she is fun and she is giving it her all BUT the judges are favouring her (yes, its not her fault that the judges are doing that) but its clear to me that she is wanted in the final and they judges will do whatever they can to get her there

She was boarding on terrible last night in her quickstep and the more she is heaped with praise and her mistakes NOT pointed out the better she will think she is

She hasnt improved AT ALL since her first dance, her technical side is still non existent and still she is bigged up by the judges and overmarked, week after week - its getting tiresome”

My thoughts exactly. She was appalling last night. If she had been Widdie, she'd have been sliced and diced. But because she is the chosen one for the final, the judges tiptoe. I also think she is amazingly popular with the outside public (my work, indeed are on the "she's doing it for us fatties" mantra. That's all I hear. Regardless of dance ability, she is supposedly representing the larger gals...) I have no doubt she will be in the final. I don't mind her personally but her dancing and the happy/clappy routines don't work anymore.

It's about time they criticised her dancing the way they do to the others. The only criticism Lisa seems to get is " Oh that didn't suit you "..

I thought she was awful last night and was so out of 'sync' many times with Robin and it didn't get a mention

Apart from kind, civil Darcey, the judges have been brutal in pointing out the limitations of aged celebs, for example Johnny Ball. However they have been cagey and wary of antagonising Lisa,

I think this is because the worldlywise trio are afraid of Lisa climbing onto the judges table then divebombing and crushing them .

Oh I was so sad for Johnny Ball at the comments he received however, I thought he handled them with such dignity, unlike others who nearly threw their toys out of the pram because the judges didn't get their performance

If Michael does dad-dancing then Lisa does fat-auntie-dancing.

Loved her cha cha but it's been downhill since then.

Nope. 'She hasn't improved much, so therefore I hate her'. Not a valid enough reason in my eyes.

And '' to you, too.

Lisa should stay for as long as possible IMO. She started on such a high note and overall has maintained that level of performance. It's not easy to get better when you start at somewhere near your ceiling of ability.
Jayinthegarden

But you're supposed to get better - that's rather the point! Everyone can improve as they don't choose perfect dancers in the first place.
The judges are scared to mark her down for fear of being called "fattist"

As far as I can see she 'dances' them all the same anyway (and gets away with it because ...well, we all know why, don't we?)

It is not good for Johnny to carry for years the memory of Craig's medical accusations based on incorrect guesswork. Johnny did not assassinate the dance, he was merely mumbling the song to himself, something my social dance partners do all the time into my ear. I was very happy if they were happy in themselves to sing.

Craig is intolerant of details while missing the big picture. God help any dancer holding a thumb at an angle not to Craig's liking.
