It would be a shame to see better dancers go first, if that becomes the case perhaps she should retire a la John Sargeant.

Couldn't agree more. She missed at least 2 whole bits of choreography last night not to mention the gapping. Her top line leaves a lot to be desired too. The whole thing was awful.

Why would they do that? Though I suppose her confidence might inspire them to get up and try to do a bit of exercise themselves.

Lisa will not make the final. At best she will make the semi-final - but unless one of the others majorly screws up their routine, she will almost certainly be bottom of the leaderboard there and clearly the weakest dancer remaining. The public don't mess around with semi-finals.

At whose expense? The others are all better than she will ever be.

Craig is a stickler for detail - except where Lisa is concerned. She is an awful dancer and it is not fair on the others that she gets a green card each week for being morbidly obese. Surely this is just as big a health hazard as Johnny's age?

Let's hope she goes next week - Panto's loss ( sorry Portsmouth) would be SCD's gain

Well I judge on dancing, clearly you must have a different criteria, which is of course your prerogative, but doesn't make my reason for disliking her any less valid than your reasons for liking her.

And the '' was at the fact that the show is supposed to be to a certain extent about dancing, yet it doesn't seem to be at all when Lisa's getting the marks she's getting. Wasn't aimed at you.

Yes it is an entertainment show but it is also supposed to be a dance show.”

You didn't watch Series One or Series Two then I take it.

Lisa has, until last week IMHO, performed sufficiently to stay in the compo. Unfortunately, last week her performance was starting to show cracks. This week she started OK but not very far into the routine, she lost it big time, so much so, she didn't recover right up to the end. The routine was too fast for her and she couldn't hack it.
I found it disgraceful that not one of the judges picked up on here faltering footwork.
As to the disgraceful comments about her physique, maybe some people should look back at some of the contestants who had two left feet but were kept in the competition because of THEIR physique and were obviously getting popular votes.

Do you not think they might not want to engender too much sympathy, perhaps they wanted someone progressing like Michael saved so criticised him to try to secure votes?

Looks like the GBP want Lisa in the final and she and Robin can't wait to be there.

*finally stops laughing* Terry, either you are a troll of the highest order and you are winding me up or you just have an uncontrollable soft spot for any current no hoper left in the comp.
I recall not too long ago you were championing the abysmal Victoria - now she has gone you have turned your attentions to Lisa? My god.

Do you vote just on personality, even though there are better dancers in the competition?

Julian Clary wasn't that awful - fourth place would have been credible and Aled was the only notably better dancer he knocked out. Christopher Parker was forgivable as it was series 1, the public perhaps didn't really "get" it and it was a very short series. There's never really been a case of the public keeping an obviously inferior dancer in over a potential winner since.

It would be funny if Lisa won Strictly and Christopher won X Factor.

But isn't the semi final going to be based on the public vote? If so, knowing how popular she is with the public, what makes you think the public would vote for Kimberley or Denise over her?

I hope I am proved wrong, dear lord, but I am preparing myself that the public want her to stay...

I anticipate a full-blown total meltdown tonight, or over the next few weeks when Lisa goes through but two of the "better" dancers have to dance off.

Personally I'm pretty relaxed about the whole thing, its one of the better aspects of not being a voter - you can't complain who goes through! I don't vote but understand how she is popular with a lot of people. And if they can be bothered enough to pick up the phone and pay to vote for her then good luck to them.

At the end of the day (and in literal terms too, in the final) its a popularity contest.

Alex was more popular than Jason or Holly before the semi-final, but she was in last place with the judges and stayed there after the public vote. (There is no dance-off in the semi but the points from the judges still count.) We still don't have any concrete information about her public vote - in week 8 she must have been more popular than Michael, week 7 more popular than Nicky, week 6 more popular than Kimberley... but that's not necessarily static every week. And we don't know how she ranks up against Dani, Denise or Louis.

Isn't it funny how Louis has very quickly gone out of the "Ousting Frame" he's only had one good dance! Until this week he was definately relegation fodder. Now, it would appear he's finalist material!

Was he relegation fodder the two weeks he topped the leaderboard?

I agree, I enjoyed watching Julian Clary a great deal however, we hear the BIB same argument trotted out every year and there's always someone who claims a better dancer has been voted out at the expense of someone worse

There are people who expressed the same level of venom that Lisa appears to be getting at Chris Hollins in the year he competed and various other popular competitors over the years. It's the same every year.
