I certainly don't hate Lisa. In fact I think she has added hugely to the fun of the early stages of the competition. But at this stage it should be less about the fun and entertainment and more about the dancing. Sure... dancing includes fun and entertainment of course, but it must be based on dancing ability first and foremost and I think it is easy for everyone to see that on this week's performance she was grossly overmarked by the judges.

Yes, there is some amount of insulting of Lisa going on and I don't think that is clever and I think most people will see through that, but don't mistake a criticism of Lisa's dancing as hatred of her. There is an overwhelming agreement that her dancing ability has peaked (some say week 1 but I think she has improved) so why are people votong for her? It must be her personality and fun. She certainly has that but should someone get through to the final of SCD based on their fun alone? Surely it is a dancing competition and so the ones that deserve to be in the final are the best dancers... so Lisa must go out this week or next.

I think that the judges would do well to remember this too... clearly last night they forgot. They commented pretty much exclusively on her fun and personality. That should now take a lower priority for them and they should concentrate of the dancing first and allow us to vote on the fun.

I think there is a lot more support for Lisa than we even imagine "out there" ! By being on here by definition we (a very small minority) are much more obsessive and analytical of Strictly.

Most viewers voting for Lisa I think will be voting for her because she got them onside during her early dances, so they look forward to seeing her each week precisely for "more of the same" whereas on here, "more of the same" is seen as a bad thing. The fun she brings - always commented on by the judges - is a pretty high-value commodity to the voting gbp.

And the judges said nothing. The others get criticised for every little fault and lisa does not. is it because she is a little larger than the rest of the girls? Are they worried adverse comments about her might be seen as saying she is overweight. She does not take critiscism well as we have seen.

The judges didn't say nothing, both Craig and Darcy pointed out things which were wrong in the routine.

I agree with your post. The first couple of weeks I admired her because she did not let her size deter her. But it seems that she does the same thing week in week out. IMO she has not made any improvements from week 2.

With Nicky improving markedly, Lisa is much the weakest dancer left in the competition.

I want to see her in a DO with one of the 4 who can really dance - I want to see how the judges wriggle!

I loved Lisa in the early shows but this weekend she was terrible! And the judges said practically nothing. Made me wonder if they have an agenda as to who they want in the line-up for the following week.

I just can't believe how awful she was but the judges appear to be scared to death to mention, your a bit heavy .

She is just not a good dancer. The novelty factor or big woman moving about in time has gone. She is not that good. Final should be Kimberley, Louis and Dani.

Only one more dance off to go. This week the only thing of any note that the result told us is that Lisa got more votes than Nicky or she would have been in the dance off rather than him. I think she is popular with the voters so be prepared for her to be in the final.

Do you seriously think Lisa is responsible for any of the fancy stuff they do in the routine? It's Robin who is responsible for the final format of the dance, so anything they do, he has either put in or agreed to. Those two seem to have a pretty good relationship, fromn their appearances on the training VTs and on ITT.

And for those who seem to think it mandatory for the judges to comment on Lisa's weight - I read before the series started that they had been specifically told not to mention this directly, although it has been referred to obliquely on a few occasions, for example, " ... because we weren't able to see any hip action" (Craig on the Rumba). But she has shown on more than one occasion that she can be light on her feet and has a lot of bounce - which, funnily enough (for those determined to slag off "fatties" as useless), fatter people often have.

I doubt she'll make it to the final. I expect her and Nicky to leave in the next two weeks leaving Kimberley, Louis, Dani and Denise to fight it out.

Well I personally hope your right. On Saturday there is the usual elimination by dance off then the following week its a double elimination by judges scores & public vote leaving 3 in the final. As I said I hope you are right but I think it might be Louis & Lisa in the final with one other probably Dani

She has done very well but I think she has now reached her level of incompetence as Parkinson put it (that's C. Northcote, not Michael). She has done the Dawn French Dance Academy proud.

I agree. Lots of people seem to dislike Denise, for whatever reason, but she should be in the final on dancing merit. If it were Dani and Louis as the final two I would be bored. No personality (though Vincent has.)

Yeah I agree, I personally think outside of the forums she is probably the most buzzed about and liked.

Lisa must be pretty popular or else she would have been in the bottom 2 by now.
