Might as well get this out of the way, it's what we're all thinking anyway...

Least surprising news of the year: Victoria Pendleton whines about her coach.

At some point she needs to start thinking that maybe it's not everyone else in the world that's the problem here.

If these comments are true, she's showing herself up to being a very bad loser. Blaming her coach is a bit pathetic when the fault was hers for not being a good dancer and not being able to "let go" and enjoy the experience. I'm disappointed in her.

She's not like that at all.
You can't take at face value, "what some reporter said she said."

Watch the BBC documentary on her screened before the Olympics.

Well if Victoria said this and it wasn't taken out of context by reporter then I am disappointed. She said the complete opposite about him on the show!

I`ll wait for her to deny or confirm the story before commenting as I don`t trust the press.

I bet she wasn't a bundle of laughs either

He's a pro ballroom dancer for heaven's sake. Did she expect a brain as well?

Wow! If that and the story where she complains about Louis being allowed to compete as well then she is one really self centred person!

If she really said this and has not been hideously misquoted or taken out of context

Shame on you Victoria

That's the problem, reporter asks question about him in the middle of an interview. She makes a neutral comment and mentions some disagreements (don't all the pairs argue at some time). Reporter then pads that out to be major rows and by the time the sub editor has finished it is the headline on the story. Never mind, it will wrapped around some fish and chips in a few days time though unfortunately it will also be online so quoted endlessly in the future.

If she'd said this on ITT I might have actually voted for her.

I am sure Brendan is a good coach. He's the professional dancer here not her. I expect her ego at being an Olympic champion made her a poor pupil. She was the best in her field but probably found it difficult being not good at something else.

She should have treated it with more respect. She should have listened to his advice and trained harder. Half the time she looked like she couldn't be bothered.

I don't know why she accepted the challenge. She just didn't try.

That documentary is one of the reasons I'm sick of seeing her whine or cry!

I don't believe it for a minute. If she is prepared to say things to a reporter then she wouldn't have held back when she was on BBC Breakfast (without Brendan who didn't seem to be bothered to go with her).

However it is true that he is interested in self promotion he had a long rant on twitter about the BBC not allowing him to promote his own show.

Thank goodness the truth is out at last.

Victoria is well known for being too honest, if anything. These are the only post show comments I've seen that contradict her positive feelings for Brendan. Something doesn't smell right.

It was a great documentary.

Couldn't agree more - the documentary didn't do her any favours IMO. She came across as extremely self-centred. She also blamed her very much less experienced partner for their disqualification in the Olympics. I'm amazed that she agreed to do Strictly, unless it was for the money - she certainly didn't enjoy it.

She's getting lousy advice.

Only ever give interviews via email so everything is carefully considered and nothing can be taken out of context.

There did seem to be a switch in their relationship when I'd watch them on ITT, for a while they seemed to get along fine then in the last few interviews Brendan didn't look like he wanted to be there.

Who knows!

I noticed this. I think Brendan got on quite well with her to start with then something changed. I think it was samba week that broke him, when she was shown having a strop and walking out of training.

I have to say I've never seen a pro so pleased to be voted off as Brendan was last week!

He was visibly thrilled at the start to have landed her as his partner. All that expectation about how fabulous she was likely to be; he must have thought he was finally on for a trip to the Final. In all of the early interviews, he positively gushes about her. But you're right: around Samba week the blinkers seemed to come off and he was getting worn down. By the end, neither one of them wanted to be there any more.
