Whilst hate is perhaps a strong word there have been a number of posters over a large number of threads who have had more than a normal reaction to simply disliking a contestant and have resorted to resorting to a tirade of vitriol against her and personal comments mainly to do with her size rather than simply they don't like her because she is a weaker dancer.

IMO it does come across stronger than mere dislike I don't like Denise but I wouldn't attack her personally on here like a lot have done with Lisa.

Why likening her to a baby Rhino plodding in relation to her tango in the fusion dance is seen to be relevant as was posted in one thread by one poster is an example of my point. There was no need for this there are other ways of putting things other than having to make derogatory statements about her weight and there have been many more such comments and whilst yes it is fact she is overweight and it affects performance to a degree it is the way that it is used by posters almost as a weapon on here that I disagree with.

Every celeb has been blasted on here; the treatment of Lisa has been tame compared to others. People are just fed up of the way the judges pander to her. If the audience wants to vote for her, then fine. The judges should at least try to be objective.

I was going to write something similar myself. A few posters have got quite personal with Lisa especially referencing her size.

It's also like some people are angry at her for still being in the competition, as if she should have to throw in the towel like John Sargent did. I think she has as much right as anybody else to be in the competition.

I say this as someone who is likely to vote dani, but I am reserving judgement until i see the dances.

I wonder did you also feel that Craig describing Jerry as a praying mantas was equally as derogatory ?Or his liking Mark Foster to a spider on wheels etc etc ?

I agree others have been blasted too, especially Denise but I think Lisa has been treated the harshest from what i have seen. On the front page there are currently a number of derogatory Lisa posts such as Lisa thinks she win, Lisa must go, Lisa was so awful I wish Victoria was back. i haven't that number of negative threads about the others. I am not saying people shouldn't dislike her and want her out, but some posters have got a bit too personal.

j4rose I don't think what is being written about Lisa is that tame to be honest and surely it is possible to dislike someone without having to resort to personal attacks about their appearance? which is what many of the posters here have been doing.

Also while most of the celebs have come in for criticism very little of it has been derogatory comments regarding their actual appearance. While I expect there to be dislike of people on forum boards I do dislike when it seems to descend into the type of thing you would expect in a playground.

Some of the comments made regarding poor technique may have been understandable but then there has been a nasty dig thrown in about her size as well which was totally unnecessary and then makes it a much more personal attack.

Either way I won't blow a gasket whatever the result I would like to see her get through as I explained in an earlier post but thats my personal opinion if she goes tonight I will not be traumatised either. Yes its a dance contest but its also about entertainment and if she entertains "the masses" not specifically the DS masses more than the others then yes she deserves to have her place in the final. It is about finding a balance and some people here seem to focused on it being one thing or another and like all other TV reality shows it is all about behind the scenes politics and manipulation.

Actually I find any specific personal attack where it is done purely to be nasty about someone like that be either from the judges in the show or from posters on here to be derogatory and not just in relation to Strictly the same thing applies to comments on Dancing On Ice which is also guilty of the same thing from some judges and from posters on here.

If it is a personal attack on the person and is not directly related to what has been done then it is uncalled for and I do not agree with it being said or done. Over the years I have not agreed with a lot of the comments Craig has made to the couples in general. I'm guessing your assumption is I am only objecting because Lisa is bigger but no I object to any derogatory statements being used against people they are unnecessary and belittling regardless of who they are aimed at.

As I said before I have not had a great deal of internet access over the series so have not been able to comment until now but would have said the same thing. Same as I don't agree with the judges references to Dani's height as such with the munchkin references etc as again IMO it is not called for as part of their critique unless it was something that majorly affected the performance and even then it can be referenced in other terms than munchkin etc.

Again I found that with his I want to get past week 9 because thats when he always gone out not about wanting Lisa to do well and progress it was simply about him wanting to break his curse of leaving.

I think many people forget that it is not the celeb who choreographs the routine and while yes the pros have to work within the limits of the celeb I think Lisa if pushed properly would have been capable of a lot more as Artem seemed to get a lot out of her the short time he was with her and personally I think they would have had a fab partnership just from the short time they were on ITT and I think we would have seen a much better Lisa (wardrobe issues pending maybe as I still think they are a factor as well).

We saw that with Michael and Natalie to a point she took each week afresh when told the weaknesses and found a way of ttrying to work round them if it doesn't work then they tried again with something different whereas Robin's solution appears to be not try anything new and just rework what he has done before and I think if that is the case that it is unfair to be so harsh on Lisa for it.”

I do think the glory is put on the celebs regarding all the choreography but yes I agree, there will be people working with them in training; we only see the two of them. I also totally agree with you on Natalie's training of Michael compared to Robin and the revisiting of old material. The public aren't stupid and will spot these kind of things which is why I think also James is sometimes lazy in his own work compared to the likes of Vincent, Pasha and yes Artem.
