Do you think that ITV originally wanted Helen to win?
They did seem to edit it in a way at first to show her 'journey' and how she overcame her obstacles. I think they expected the public to take her to their hearts. I get the impression that they saw the prospect of an ITV2 reality show of some kind with her.
I guess they didn't bank on the public becoming sick of that type of person now. Though she didn't deserve half of the comments I read about her here and elsewhere. She's not evil. |

I think both Helen and ITV at least banked on her making the final 3 maybe final 2 I wouldn't be surprised if she had some work lined up based on the fact to

I don't they wanted her to win because the whole behind the scenes crew where annoyed with her because the amount of time it was taking her to do the trials and then deciding not to do them. Personally I think they wanted to Charlie to win because during the final show they brought out Kiki to Charlie which would of got her more votes, I feel sorry for Ashley because she was winning in the votes until about half way through the final.

I doubt seeing Kiki about a minute before the lines closed will have had much influence. She was already leading the votes at that point.

Oh please, you think 30 seconds before the lines closed would have made that much difference? Really?

The whole subject of her having a gameplan was highlighted on the main show and the ITV2 show was mainly negative towards her.
So I think not. |

2. Kiki was brought on about 30 seconds before the vote closed - hardly time enough to dial a telephone number. 3 Whilst it can be argued that, at some point in the show the 'Kiki' factor may have helped Charlie gain a few more votes, it is equally likely to have lost her votes. |

Absolutely not.
They edited her in such a negative way that it was impossible for her to win. I did think it was possible for her to go on a "journey" and win at one point, but it never happened. After the first night, she did scream potential winner (I thought she'd make a 'come back' and prove everyone wrong after forming an opinion on her on day one). It soon became clear though that the producers were simply using her for headlines, showing her very negatively (compared to everyone else in the camp). They wanted to keep the likes of Eric, Helen and Rosemary for as long as possible as they created the talking points, but after seeing their voting figures, they obviously knew they had a tough battle on their hands - hence the heavy features throughout the highlight shows for them. |

1. As a breakdown of the voting has not been released , you cannot know when Ashley was leading.
Since Charlie won, obviously Ashley was leading up until they came on air. |

Personally I believe they don't care who wins as long as acceptable viewing figures are achieved. The show is 12 years old and struggling to it's maintain former ratings. If one person proves popular they will give that person more air time.
This year never had a clear favourite. We haven't got the full voting breakdown yet, but I think it was close and any of the top three could have won it. |

I do.
But I think it became apparent to them around a certain point that it simply wasn't going to happen so they just simply let her go, so to speak. |

I don't think ITV care who wins as long as they get, a) good ratings and b) a lot of phone votes.

Quite a lot of the celebs have talked about going on a 'journey', not just Helen. This 'ITV2' reality show speculation also appears on the forum around any celeb who gets a lot of airtime in any particular episode.
I think they imagined Helen would get the show some column inches in the tabloids, which she did. It makes no difference to ITV which celebs wins, they just want good viewing figures. Helen would never have won after her lacklustre attempts at her first couple of trials - viewers want to see a trier, not a quitter. |

Really? You mean Katie Price who is gorgeous looking even without make-up, tough as old boots and with a really sharp business brain. Helen? WAGs are soooo last year. |

If she had not been so anel about everything, she could have been in with a chance.
She was on one of the most watched tv programmes in the UK. It's my belief this is how Charlie won. there will have been a lot of people watching who will not know who Ashley was, where as Charlie will have been a house hold face to nearly everyone. |
