Everyone thinks he is dead, but Ste gets home to find a letter from Brendan explaining he isn't and telling him to live his life etc. Then when Kieron decides to leave they can have Ste track Brendan down and live happily ever after.
As if we'd get anything like that. Plus the whole faking his death thing would remind me of Warren a bit too much!
I was dead(geddit?) set on wanting Brendan to die & now you are making me think of other scenarios..
