The only thing that's bothering me, is the fact that in none of these spoilers does it mention Ste finding out why Brendan did it. If Ste doesn't find out then there really is know reason why he would go, it would also piss me off.

I'm hoping that they arnt mentioning it in the spoilers so that they don't give away who he chooses even though we know, not everyone does, so I guess if they write in the spoilers that Ste finds out why Brendan did it, that would pretty much confirm who Ste chooses.

Yes, exactly! Doug sending Ste off to be with Brendan is just absurd! He's been fighting that for months. Now, he knows Brendan has hit him again, so he'd be doubly against it!

Honestly, I don't think there's much point wasting energy trying to make this make sense, because it doesn't.

But I am starting to worry that neither Doug or Cheryl will know Brendan hit him. If there is no facial evidence then Im not sure Ste will mention it myself, he will just want away from HO as quick as possible and wont want to make it look like its anything to do with Brendan.

My thoughts are that Ste doesn't actually go to Dublin to get back with Brendan. I think be goes there to confront him and maybe there he finds out why he did it? He takes the ticket cos he knows Doug isn't for him and needs to find himself again.

Yes you are right there. I think there must be more to it from Ste's side but it just hasn't been spoiled. I'm going to reserve judgement until we see it. All I keep thinking now is the fact we only have a few months, Ste and Brendan are obviously happy in Dublin so there's gotta be a reason for that.

I reckon Cheryl will know the truth but Doug won't as well.

I was thinking maybe Ste doesn't tell anyone, since it's just a nose bleed and Doug might ask why he was with Brendan in the first place and what lead to him becoming violent to which Ste will have to admit that he went to go see him and why he did might potentially come out. So if he doesn't say anything there won't be any questions? Not sure about Cheryl though, unless Brendan does tell her why he did it, but when she would say that to 'Ste' when she's talk to him through the bathroom door? But then if Ste doesn't find out Brendan reason, why would he go after him?

This story must make sense at some point, surely?

See, I think that the kiss is what's gonna make Brendan punch him. He'll probably try and discourage Ste with words at first when Ste begs him to ask him to stay - "What are you saying, you love Douglas, you know I'm not good for you..." - but then when Ste kisses him he can't hold back and he responds to the kiss, and that's why he has to push him away for good.


Yeah I'm sure we aren't supposed to agree with Brendan's decision but we can sympathise with him.

ETA: I don't know if Doug's gonna find out about the punch. Why would he be happy that Ste has chosen to go with him if he knows it's probably to do with Brendan?
At the same time I can't see how Ste can hide this from him... bah

Yeah Ste's side right now is so confusing why would he decide to go after Brendan because Cheryl and Doug have urged him to. If he doesn't tell them about the punch it will just be him going there to see Brendan-how does he not know Brendan might hit him again? I don't think he'd put himself in that situation if he wasn't sure, well I'm hoping.

Anyway I think that Cheryl might find out about the punch/kiss when she questions Ste's intentions (or maybe before). Ste probably tells her that he still loves Brendan despite everything but Doug's the best option at the moment blah blah blah, and then she talks to "him" in the bathroom the next day.

Still a bit confusing though I mean would you really go to a city you don't know to look for somebody who just punched you. But hey ho all will become clear
