Yeah 100% I'm literally looking forward to everything Emmett's doing now. He's such an amazing actor, god knows how some people think he isn't. He can show happiness, sadness every emotion, he's just great.
Brendan will be completely broken and Emmett portrays that so well.

Surely they can't not show Brendan's distraught reaction-I mean we're meant to be confused by his motives or whatever so there must be doubt it's not him just lashing out (even though we already know that) and for him to be gone by the next ep it must have an affect on him.

I really can't decide whether he will tell Cheryl or not. I just have this image of Brendan packing a bag really quickly and muttering he has to go.
But then that wouldn't make sense cos why would Cheryl go and talk to Ste

I think it's Cheryl that asks Pa to come to the village as a surprise for Brendan, so I don't think the two things are related at all.
So yeah Cheryl organising Pa as a surprise for X-mas....so it seems are speculation of Stendan walking through the door and Pa being there is true.
Or actually the Dog scene could be their first meeting actually-Brendan could phone to say that him and Ste are back and Cheryl says to meet at the Dog I have a surprise and then Brendan goes up to get the drinks then he hears a voice behind him at the bar....

Yes, the one thing we have always known about Brendan is that he is messed up. We even know why now. While someone who is not messed up like Brendan would not see punching Ste as the best way to sever all ties with him, I have no problem accepting that, to Brendan, it seems to be the best, the only way. I wish they weren't going there, but I have no problem understanding Brendan's point of view.

BIB - Unless Ste's children have been staying with Cheryl (and her father), I don't see why Ste would go straight to Brendan's on his return. Surely the first thing he would do would be to go and pick his kids up?

That's true actually. I really think Cheryl would have the kids you know. She seems to be the only sort of 'mate' Ste has in Hollyoaks. I don't see Leanne/Texas looking after them especially after Ste chooses Dublin over Doug. And that would probably build to the truth being revealed with Brendan being furious that Pa is around the kids, bringing back all his memories etc.
I can't wait for Brendan to release all his past to Ste, gonna be so emotional

That's why some people suggested the kids are with Cheryl, afterall before him and Doug leave for the airport she's urging him to follow his heart with Brendan so it would make sense to leave them with her.

I thought that as well but it just seems so soapy to send them to the pub then Brendan gets the shock of his life when he see's who arrives
