But we know that Simon won't get axed, because he owns the X factor. IMO its as they are saying, "oh, there is only aloud to be one nasty person in these reality tv shows, and in this case, I'm sorry, but it has to be Simon, so Sharron, Louis, you aren't aloud to say certain things, ok?"
That's my opinion anyway.

Have you forgotten that she told Steve that 'You're not black - you can't sing like a black man'. Whilst, I think I understand what it was that she was trying to say, nevertheless, it came across as intended spite. You're right though, she didn't level nasty comments to the other contestants because, that was reserved for Steve. Also, remember that she was meant to be an impartial judge, (she no longer having any acts left in the competition).
Both Sharon and Louis were unfair towards Steve insofar as they had plotted together from the outset to oust Simon's acts, whether or not they were any good. The trouble was, what might have started off as friendly rivally then became personal towards one contestants, purely because they did not like him. Therefore, they lost sight that they, as judges, should have been giving constructive feedback based on their professional knowledge of the industry and, to a certain extent, personal taste. Feedback, that a contestant can think about and decide whether to take it on board. What did they tell Steve to help him. As well as judges, they were mentors and this can be extended to the other acts, when giving feedback.
I truly believe that, to some extent, they'd moved on from friendly rivally (between judges) as it took on a more personal slant towards to Steve.
Simon, on the other hand, has not been personal, and as he has said, once an act is through to the final, there is no point any longer in giving certain types of feedback. So yeah, I agree that they shouldn't be allowed to say certain things. What has his girlfriend got to do with anything? Did she enter the competition? Oh. Where does one draw the line? I'd say the feedback should be limited to the performance, ie song choice, genre, delivery, interpretation and general demeanour, e.g. wooden performance when singing a song.
