What did Nicole do specifically to be labelled a flop in a show that isn't doing to well across the board?

It seems to me that she is being made a scapegoat for the US XF's general failure.

Clearly you have never seen a US network show in the last three years. The only difference between cable and network these days is the f word and nipples.

I lived in America for several years. Trust me.

For example Janet Jackson's nipple at the superbowl was still being debated at length on chat shows 10 months after it happened. Censorship in the states is so water tight. I have never seen anything like it. They would die if they had a newspaper like The Sun.

How is she being made a scapegoat. One judge cant cause a show to flop. Both Paula and Nicole werent asked back after one year, if they were considered a success on the show then I think they would have been. People are only reflected the criticism she got in the US and in the UK by calling her a 'flop' on the show...I doubt she had anything to do with the ratings.

The Janet Jackson nipple incident was during a major sporting event, televised to millions on daytime tv, it wasnt by accident but contrived for headlines, which it achieved, nipples dont offend me but it WAS offensive in that situation.

Different sense of humour maybe?

I thought it was strange after how well she'd seemed to do first time round on uk x factor that she seemed totally different on the us version - pretty much like Paula used to be on American Idol. A bit of an air head at times and not making any useful critique on performances, plus her breakdown when it came to choosing whether to send Rachel home.

When the reviews had first started coming in there seemed to be a lot of thoughts that Paula seemed like a changed judge and was making lots of useful comments. I wondered at the time if Nicole had been told to act more as the air head judge in order to make Paula look better....
