If Union J Make It Through...
They will be the first act (in the UK) to reach the final after being in the bottom 2 more than twice.
Cher I think holds the current record of being in the bottom 2 twice and surviving to reach the final (although I guess it could be argued she was there through produceer interference by putting the SO on when it was reported it wasn't meant to happen). Every other act to reach the final has either not been in the bottom 2, or only visited the covetted position on 1 occasion. |

But Cher finished 4th, and the lowest position UJ can possibly finish is also 4th. Just because they changed it to allow 4 acts in the final that year doesn't mean any difference. It's technically the same.

If they finish third in the vote then they're technically bottom 2 four times. OUCH!
