He made it for me - the only time I've enjoyed a group performance. Will any of this lot still be performing in 40 odd years time? I don't think so.

He's an old man but I think he still has a classy stage presence.

He didn't sing badly... he is knocking on a bit now so you can give him a bit of leeway with the voice. Either way he's still a legend.

Me? You need your ears testing if you didn't think that lad from Union J whose name I can't remember didn't outsing Rod.

Pure class and what a thrill for the acts to sing with him

He has a xmas album out now, so that was obviously one of the tracks.

As a life long Rod fan, and having seen him perfom live BRILLIANTLY, I was disappointed not to see him sing on his own. IMO, I think it was a waste to have him on as a part of X factor band.

Dont s'pose he is bothered. Like someone said he is getting paid and getting publicity for the tour and the album.

The best performers don't necessarily have the best voices. They just know how to put over a song.

i think the BiB says it all really ...

rod's been around for close to 50 years

we'll have forgotten who any of this lot are about 50 minutes after the last show, assuming we remembered them in the first place

For crying out loud - Rod is about 40 years older than the guy who's name you can't remember (you didn't do yourself any favours with that).

Rod has a very unique voice, one you instantly know who it is without being aware of who is singing. And the guy has oodles of charisma. I can't believe you are even attempting to make comparisons!

I wouldn't be surprised if you had already decided the title of the thread you were going to post before you even saw the performance.

That is so true. Which is exactly my thoughts on Christopher. He may have a good voice but he doesnt know how to put over a song.

I think he still sounds great and has amazing stage presence. He had some surgery on his throat a few years ago didn't he?
