One million's tiny, BB used to get more and it was on Channel 4. most of that will be saddos multi-voting.

10,000 people voting 10 times each = a 10th of that already

One million's tiny, BB used to get more and it was on Channel 4. 60% of that will be saddos multi-voting.
Yeah to put it into perspective, more people voted in Big Brother 2001 than the General Election that year.

That didn't seem like very much at all, you'd think with the voting open so long it would be more and promoting mobile voting
Voters must have seen that winning don't mean much with so many finalists/semi finalists still getting deals and selling records
And these final 3/4 aren't inspiring enough to bother picking up that phone

Yep, both BB2 and BB3 final got around 6-7m votes for the final. It was about 6m in BB5.

X factor where Leona and Alexandra won got 8m in the final. (2m for the semi final in 2008).

That was series 5. The entire series overall got over 16m votes.

Also, back in BB5, the final week got over 6.3m votes.

Just look at how fast BB fell. By the time series 9 came around, it was declining pretty rapidly. It's funny how TXF has followed the same sort of pattern.

Edit: Also, I think we have to remember that back in Series 5 of TXF, we only got 30-60 minutes to vote as the results were announced on the Saturday night so the figures are even more impressive, to be honest.

True, but they have released a few articles on later figures for Big Brother. BB12, BB13 and CBB9 on Channel 5 apparently got more votes overall than BB10 and BB11 on Channel 4 despite BB12 and BB13 averaging under 2m. But in the last 2 regular series there was much more multivoting with Facebook votes and everything. Depends on how much people would want to vote.

For example, Pop Idol when both Will Young and Michelle won got 8.7m votes and 10.26m votes for their finals despite the averages for the series being LOWER than that. So a heck of a lot of multi voting must have occurred.

How about Britain's got the pop factor? 52m votes.
