I love Union J. Thought they were really good and Jaymi has the best voice in the whole competition.

Didn't the eliminated act always used to sing at the end, a few series back, or am I thinking of the likes of Pop Idol?

Did they really have to sing the first time?

They only have one person who can sing anyway. Just when you think they're the worst thing you ever heard Jaymi pipes up. Utterly pointless ridiculous band.

I could be wrong but in the older series I think they had to do the same song as they did in the main show if they were in the bottom two and then the same song again after being eliminated... total overkill.

Think that was Pop Idol as there was no sing-off. But XF has usually stopped the sing-off when its got to the top 5 or top 4 so then the eliminated acts has a final song. An Hour show just to announce whose bottom of the votes is a bit excessive so I guess they need to fill in the time somehow.

No. Acts eliminated via a sing off have never had to sing again afterwards, they only sing again after their elimination if they go out after the sing off is dropped (excluding vote freeze eliminations in the final).

Ah yeah I remember now... it's because it was Ruth I vaguely recalled singing after being eliminated .

It was like listening to how boring Jade was on the show.
