I'm in the gran age group and think only James deserves to be in the final .

What a load of ol tosh and insulting to Gran's everywhere. Just because you become a Gran doesn't mean you give up radio 1 and start liking crooner music . My mumis a great Gran and she can't stand the orange one and thinks he is a big faker.

My kids know me better than to buy me a CD in the Chris ILK

I personally think he is winning due to the anti Cowell vote which is very sad as it gives Chris a false sense of reality. Does he really think he will have success as a pop star ? These voters might think they have the upper hand but it isn't doing Chris any favours and I doubt Cowell is that worried. He will still sign who he wants to and will put as little money and effort into Chris as he can

Gawd, not again!! How i HATE sweeping generalisations!!

I'm a nan of 4, i've been through the music of the 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's and noughties. I've no idea what the current decade is called, but it's music is currently my favourite, as each passing decade has been. My car radio is set on Kiss FM and/or XFM, not Heart!

I haven't liked Christopher since the very beginning, i can't STAND his voice, it grates on me, his musical style or the songs he sings and I'm not keen on him personally either!

Don't blame me for him being in the final, I'm annoyed about it too!!

I'm a gran and would'nt vote for Chris in a million years. !!!!
Jahmene is my favourite of those left. I think Chris will win 'tho, either because of a backlash toward Simon or perhaps just because so many people seem to like him.

I blame Katie Waissel's gran. She started the Nannas' Lib movement.

Nanna Maloney has followed. And there were one or two other dominant nannas to be seen at the auditions, on stage with their grandchild and taking no shit from anyone.

Ever since Ms Waissel senior's story broke they've been at it in the bus shelters round where I live and taking over the X Factor as their music show.

"You're only as old as the boy you feel, and I'd love to feel that Christopher Maloney" one shouted at me from a passing XR3.

The producers don't try to get down with the kids anymore, it's all about getting down with the nans.

My mum is 70 and she think Chris is possibly the worst contestant ever in XF. Tbh, she wasn't that keen on any of them this year though. Her favourites were Nathan and Leanne who both went out at JH.

Too many Nan's on this Thread, begining to suspect that DS has been over run.

I'm a 75 year old father with no grandkids. I wish Chris Maloney well but would rather not to listen to him or watch him.

I prefer Jahmene even though his voice is a bit sandpapery and unmusical for the songs he prefers.

James is probably the most creative musically but his style may appeal to a limited audience.

Where does it say that older people should not be on this forum?

Its like people wear blinkers on this forum, there are some teens who are voting as well as people in their 20s and so on for Christopher, and what is seriously considered as a gran? I became a gran at 37 and im in my early 40's now, who gives anyone the right to stereotype a person? I have rarely voted for anyone in x factor in 9 years, rammstein i love, and anything heavy rock, I like the show but rarely vote because its not my kind of music.

This thread is brilliant.

My two cents: Early twenties, James is my favourite

Just saying from a Grandad view. Sounds like you are well younger than me then.

I just think a lot depends on the music your raised on......

For me it was:

Deep Purple
Black Sabbath
Aerosmith
Led Zepplin
AC/DC
Whitesnake
Kiss
Iron Maiden

And that is still to this day the type of music I love

Mine started off with John Holt - Desmond Dekker - The J.B's and Curved Air. Now Chris does it all for me he's so versatile.
