I don't understand why anyone would watch a show ( and spend their money on it ) if they think it's absurd

It would certainly be an embarrassment to the show . . . it likes to think it's cool, but Chris is the standard bearer of 'a nice bit of happy singing on telly'. Their own fault: they put him through.
It would send the show to premature extinction, forcing DS XF posters to leave or seek refuge elsewhere (if they don't go on other DS forums). Do you really want that?

This! I'm tired that they put acts through as disposable/ joke/ fodder. They don't really want them to win like Jedward, rylan, Christopher, Wagner, Weissel, etc. They just want the drama and for people to hate on them when more "deserving" or more talented acts leave the show. They play too much with people's emotions.
Christopher is not a bad person and doesn't deserve the treatment that he is getting and the other acts mentioned didn't too. Plus he actually has a very good voice and now his nan is being mistreated too. Gone too far. Hope he wins and gets some money out of them, even if they drop him after, but if he wins he will at least get some monetary compensation for what they have done to him the couple of months.

It would be hilarious though I would not spend a penny on him or anyone else.
he's gonna win, but for all the wrong reasons, it's only going to be harder on him when he is inevitably dropped from the label, it's all well and good these pensioners voting for him, but they are highly unlikely to go out and buy his album of cheesy covers, because that's what it will be, simon cowell will not waste the time of perfectly good songwriters and producers to come up with original material for this guy, i can't imagine any song writers wanting their name on his album credits

I think it's rubbish that people vote him cause they want to piss off the x factor when there is two good singers that would like to win. It's not Simon Cowel that loses much it's James and Jamhene

I dont understand if people feel so badly about the show then why are they putting themselves through the heartache of watching it. When most people who have common sense would just simply turn over.
Its like saying you dont like cabbage but eat some just so you can criticise it.

Firstly, nobody's votes turn into record sales -ever! Matt Cardle got millions of votes but sold less than 300k copies of his winner's album in a year. Little Mix's votes have not reflected in sales. Secondly, he is exactly the sort of artist radio 2 would play, so long as his material is good enough and we have no way of knowing how good or bad the songs will be.
