Wow a lot of sour grapes in here tonight. Just accept the fact that some people vote for him

OH and calling them names for doing so makes you look bad not them.

DOES the voting demographic for Chris Maloney include those who feel empowered by the anti-vote ?

But you seams to forget he was voted back into the live shows by the GBP at the starts of the live shows. Where the anti vote wouldnt have even come into play back then.

And yes they will be a few anti vote but not as many as is needed to get him this far. So all this blaming it on the anti vote crap is just that crap.

I really dont understand why people cant get over the fact that some people do like him. I mean really is it that hard for some of you to comprehend that others have a difference of opinion than your own.

No its not

If anything its naive for you not to understand that we all have different views on what is good and what is bad.

For starters if we all agreed on the same things then there would be no point in shows like this at all.

People talking about the "granny vote" are displaying ignorance beyond belief. How can they make such sweeping generalisations!

Its does not bother me as it just shows us that Chris still being there must really bother them for them to resort to low school ground traits.

I'm not sure how many of these voters actually like him, or just like the idea of fingers up to XF. There have been quite a few people who have said on here, support Chris because he's being bullied and XF is out of order. So it would seem that this is part of his vote.

When has an 'anti-vote' kept someone in a reality show? He's not 'hilariously bad' like a jedward/Wagner/rylan/john Sergeant, so its not like people are voting for him to see what comedy he will come up with next (and, incidentally, those X factor acts all stayed in exactly as long as the producers wanted)

The way the judges and show treats him probably does galvanise people to vote who might have liked him but not bothered to vote normally

Some are old people who, for some reason, find him appealing.
Some are people who like the belting type that's missing this year.
Some are people who hate the show and aim to piss Simon off with a shit winner.
Some are people who vote because they are sick of the hate directed towards him.
Some are computers programmed to vote.

Oh yeah, his nan. Did I miss anyone?

Well some ones voting for him?, it's bit of an odd one really, I can only assume its a combination of votes, The people that like him, to the Liverpool base, right down to the anti X Factor brigade

These three factors have probably pushed him into the final. I don't know the voting figures,, but my gut instinct says that he will finish 3rd!

I just can't see it being a final 2 showdown between him and Jahmene. I actually think Jahmene will win, he's not my favourite, but hes the sort of guy people will vote for!

People should get a grip and accept that everyones taste in music is different.
I would ask all those who choose to insult and catagorise the voters who like listening to Chris sing if they would like being insulted for their preference in music.
Why can't people just accept the voting figures? There is a market out there for Chris too. I for one will definately buy his album and I DONT come from Liverpool.

Has anyone looked at this from a different angle? We all know that the viewers are down by ~ 2m this year. I believe that in itself has an impact on how the voting goes this year. It may well be the ones who have switched off this year happen to be the younger, more edgy music lovers.

That's a good point. Maybe the "edgy" music lovers are not watching TV on a Saturday night.
Personally I used to love listening to raw unnkown live bands who played small gigs in pubs and clubs.
However due to disablility I am now stuck indoors with the TV to entertain me on a Saturday night.

I believe there is a section of anti X Factor voters who want to see him win simply to continue the decline of this programme. But clearly he does enjoy a level of support for what it is he does.

For the life of me though, this could only happen in the UK. I cannot imagine American Idol or US X Factor letting him past the audition stages where genuine original talent seems more highly valued than here.

Clearly we are unfussy when it comes to voting for cheesy karaoke style "entertainers" such as Maloney who possesses not one ounce of originality, but simply an ability to belt out a tune (and as we saw with the Buble song he sometimes ain't very good at that either)

They're rattled, simple. Every week they've hoped that the stories weren't true and that he wasn't polling very highly. They hoped that it was a Wagner-type phenomenon and that once the likes of Rylan were gone, the 'protest' and the laughing would stop and his vote would disappear and every weak they've been wrong, left disappointed and stewing in their own bile and spite. It has been hilarious.

Ah yes, the ones who pushed Little Mix, Matt Cardle, Leon Jackson and other such musical extremists to victory. I forgot about them. That'll be it, yes.

People need to realise that not everyone likes the same thing. Personally I think Christopher is the strongest singer left, he may not be my type of singer (they wouldn't go on Xfactor anyway) but he is better than the other two. Jahmene seems a nice lad but boy he is boring(people criticise Christopher for singing the same stuff but so does Jahmene) and I have never understood the hype with James, he isn't edgy, he isn't alternative and he isn't Rock.

I actually thought Christopher's Buble song was actually quite good and the Judges (especially Tulisa) need to stop being so god damn rude when he is singing, they can't hide their contempt and it is really pathetic.

It's not hard for me to accept, but I'd just rather be living on a different planet from them.

It's probably that type of narrow-minded stereotyping that causes people to vote for him in the first place. Music is for all, not just teens.
