Yes i am aware this thread is also about Chris.

He is not even that interesting. Yet 80% of the threads about Chris. Whether you like or dislike him surely there is more to the competition than to be drawn to the more controversial act.

It's just going in circles. Nobody talks about the actual merits of a singing competition, or anything substantial, it's all idle gossip about this dude.

To be honest I don't think there are many merits of a singing competition to discuss this year!

It's pretty naff imo.

I don't mind who wins ........good luck to all three that are left.

I've not really had a favourite this year. I like/liked Rylan because for me he was the best of a bad bunch and at least he made me smile and entertained me in his RylanStyle fashion. The rest do absolutely nothing for me music wise.

Double edged sword this series.

People kept talking about how shocking it was that he was getting voted through. As more people talked about this, votes increased for him. No other contestant has had half as many threads or articles about them this series.

agree with this - trouble is so many start nasty/non-constructive threads and then people come in and defend him and like you say it goes around in circles! If the nasty threads werent created, people wouldnt respond and these threads would drift into oblivion! Actually going to stop posting on these threads as a) it's pointless and b) it just makes me angry. In fact, Christopher aside, how many threads in this forum are constructive about any of the acts?!

Not many and God forbid you have a favourite. How boring if we all liked the same or had the same taste in music.

I'll bet he's loving his 15 minutes.

As Oscar Wilde once said "There is only one thing in the world worse than being talked about, and that is not being talked about."

The papers are all doing it..we're all doing it and people are voting for him in spite of getting a real pasting by the "judges," each week..

I think it's hilarious..

Rich.

I threw in the towel tonight and on two separate occasions I've said

1. Oh, let him win
2. Chris to win!

May God have mercy on my soul. LOL!

I just figured I'd waited weeks for him to go, but he's managed to stay for whatever reasons people are voting for him, so I decided to go with the flow

I dont get the obsession with Chris being in the final...ok he's not to every bodies taste but he can sing. Acts like Same Difference and Eggnog made the final and less fuss was made - they werent even great singers - Eggnog was medicore at best, as was Ray, as was Leon and Same Difference, Marcus - none of these acts were ever going to go on and sell millions but they were in the final.

I am ashamed he's the best Britain has to offer talent wise. It's tragic really.

Take heart in the fact that these days if you're any good at all you're not going to be on The X Factor.

I guess Oscar Wilde's words only apply if you want to be the centre of attention - like all those talentless wannabees. Most don't.

It stopped being a singing competition when the crimson crooner got through to the final.

It is really getting ridiculous. All that man does is get on stage every week and sing a decent song with a decent voice.
He is hated for doing that for some odd reason. I just don't get why there is such a hate campaign out for him either.

Why suprised?
Have you seen the amount of hatefully titled threads about the poor guy on this forum? But not so many thread titles in support of the other two competitors which is rather odd.
The answer is in the number of votes Chris gets. There will be plenty of forum members who do enjoy listening to Chris singing each week.
Sticking your neck out in a forum of hateful posts is not easy.

You should be ashamed that you are using a programme like X Factor as a barometer for the nations talent. Of course it isn't. It's a popularity contest Big Brother style not a talent show. You should know that.

Britain has oceans of talent and they wouldn't go anywhere near Syco's circus.

If I had to guess I'd say some people are annoyed with him for not being honest/forthright by mentioning his singing background during his first audition.

Tie that with his unbelievable jitters during his audition, as well as his assertion that he never sang before a large audience, and he pretty much brought this upon himself.

Though I can understand why Chris did not mention he was a cruise ship crooner.

6 People were invite to audition, all had past careers, we know of 5 of those people but the 6th had not mentioned it. If the 6th person is Christopher, then he was not allowed to tell anyone about his past. These are the new rules for x factor this year, the judges are not permitted to know the contestants past until the final selection is made for live shows, the contestants are all allowed to have past successful careers, management groups, and small time record labels now.

His true nature keeps slipping thru his varnished exterior: at Downing St yesterday to "promote a charity", he only tweeted his presence rather than the name of the charity. He's laughing so hard at us all. Vile.

It's scary that people still think it's really the public vote that gets people through!! Amazing how it's still thought of as a genuine process.......Bless.
