I hope she does not read all the unkind things said about them both on here.

Has anybody said unkind things about the child?

Does it really matter? It was two days ago. The winner of Celeb means nothing, it's not like they get a recording contract or whatever if they do win.

Actually if what Ant and Dec said was true - i.e. the lead changing during the final, then Ashley was leading up to the final night when Charlie then overtook her. Kiki was hardly mentioned on the final night (IIRC), and only when they were being interviewed at the end by Ant and Dec did Kiki make an appearance. I never vote on these programs but had supported Ashley previously. If I were to vote based on the final alone I would've voted Charlie - she was far more entertaining whilst Ashley just looked drained.

I don't think there's hardly been much in the way of unkind things said about them personally.
Most of the harsh criticism was directed at the show itself in regards to how they presented the Charlie/Kiki saga.

I've read really horrible stuff about Charlie and Kiki on here. I know she reads the DS soap forum, as do most cast and crew of soaps so I think she would be tempted to read here since it's only a little further down the page.

I'm sure she is used to bad comments anyway.

I agree with you. I wanted Ashley to win. But if I was a new viewer who tuned in to the final, and if I was honest, I'd say that Charlie edged it on the day of the final if I was judging them based purely on what I saw in the final.

Ashley over the course of the series. But on the day of the final, Charlie.
It's the impression you give on the day of the final that's probably going to count more than how many points you've racked up over the general course leading up to it.

I agree with your comment that you don't think there's hardly been much in the way of unkind things said about Charlie because there most certainly has.. You're right, there's been a lot of it. Calling her bitchy when she hasn't been bitchy at all, where she's used Kiki as tool to get her to the final when she hasn't and those saying that she's been boring and dull.

Well she has been a bit bitchy. But I don't hold that against her because for me what she said didn't bother me and sounded like a natural reaction to certain things, and was quite mild bitching.
In fact it may have been something which gave her a slight edge over Ashley and may have even been seen as more of a positive reason to vote for her.

Whether she used Kiki or not to win, I would say that people say much nastier things than that on these forums.
Somebody may actually think that, but not necessarily mean to say it with the intent to be unkind.

It's quite plausible that contestants may use 'tricks' to try to win and if somebody felt that Charlie tried to manipulate voters with her daughter then that may just be what they genuinely happen to suspect and can be a valid feeling they have.

Wouldn't it even be naive to think that celebrities who go on these shows NEVER try to gain an advantage by playing on the voters' emotions?
I think it can be a valid opinion to hold.
Are contestants on the show immune from criticism? The premise of the show is for the viewers to judge them which means that not all judgments are going to be about praise for how wonderful the celebrities are.
Sometimes the opinions can be more negative and I don't see what's wrong with that if the premise of these shows where you vote are entirely based on judging people.

I've always said that Ashley needs men around her to be happy. She loves all the flirting and turning men on. She had male viewers eating out of her hand and drooling over her every move, she could not walk across the camp without swinging her butt and flashing her teeth. She had no time for the women in there, this is a man's woman, one of the boys.

Left alone with Charlie she was lost, without a man around she didn't know how to act and you could see the disappointment in her face. I'm not knocking her BTW, some women are just like this, they define themselves completely by the effect they have on men and thrive on the power they have over them.
The photos of her at the wrap party show her surrounded by men, not a woman in sight. The headlines....who got to sh*g Ashley.

Yes, I agree with you! I think it happens in a lot of these reality programs where people just tune in for the final, it's happened on IACGMOOH before and X Factor, where vote leads have changed from what they were over the previous weeks.

I thought her and Charlie seemed to be genuinely friendly with each other. Infact outta all the campmates I would assume they'd still be friends afterwards - just going on when they were alone together.

Funny, we all see things differently.

The way I see it, we see around one hour of edited footage per day, one hour out of twenty four. What we see is up to the programme editors, maybe they chose to add the moments when Charlie spoke about her daughter but it doesn't mean that Kiki was her only subject for conversation.

We mostly got footage of Eric lying in his hammock and doing next to nothing when, in fact, he played his part in the running of the camp but we didn't get to see any of that. All we saw was him passing his nasty comments and spitting, editing at its worst. Just an example of how the powers that be can influence the general public.

Charlie didn't try to influence anyone, she didn't choose which parts of her day to relay to the public, she had no control over any of it much as Eric didn't, either.

Yes I know. That was my point. That most criticism was about the show focusing on it and emphasizing it.
I doubt very much that posters had it in for a little girl.

But I agree with you in essence about your point about editing. I agree with you about Eric. It is indeed incredible how much affecting power the editing can have on the viewer.
Look at Eric, everyone thought he was nasty at first. Then a change of emphasis in the editing and it all changes, people then see him as a good guy underneath.
I accept that it affected me as well. I'm not immune. I went from disliking Eric to liking him and then actually thinking that maybe it would be good if he won, and it's all thanks to the wonderful all powerful effect of the TV edit.

Don't be so daft. Just because I recognize her as being the sort of woman who prefers being around men, you accuse me of hating women. She's a lovely girl who prefers the company of men, it's not a critisism just a fact (IMO).

How can it be a fact if it is an opinion?

She was a favourite from the moment they all entered. Why do people whine just because their favourite didnt win? It makes u look immature and petty

I wanted Charlie to win from the start, before Kiki was introduced into any of the tasks, she wasnt my winner through pitty

Some people seriously need to get over the fact that she won
